I voted other. Initially Thorn was useless(I got mines in Late October 2014). I found it useful only in the hands of a Gunslinger Hunter or a Defender Titan(strength build/war machine). Took forever to reload and I believe it had only 6 or 7 in the clip. Bungie actually fixed it. I have no issues with it. I suck at PvP. It is used a lot in PvP. But there are ways to counter it. Particularly the weapons that drop from Crucible matches or the Crucible vendor weapons. They are quite effective. EDIT If you like scout rifles it's worth the grind to get Gheleons Demise from Iron Banner.
