An average which includes an entire broken class of weapons. Thorns damage and time to kill and right and proper for its weapon class. It's a Hand Cannon. That's what Hand Cannons are all about. If anything needs changed on Thorn it's the range, and possibly the rate of fire. It even seems like it would shoot slower, judging by how it looks and handles in game. But most people who whine about Thorn are just annoyed by it, it's an annoying weapon. The dot and screen effects make it really noticeable. Are there a stupid amount of people using Thorn? YES. But not because it's better than most weapons, just because it's perceived to be. A lot of people use Thorn in maps where it makes no sense because they think it's a completely OP gun. And then I shoot them with my MIDA and call it a day
