i couldnt win outright gun battles with them to save my life vs equally skilled players, unless i got the drop on them. which if you get the first shots off you should generally win no matter what weapon you have.
im not a spray and prayer, been using full auto guns in FPSs since they came out, always been my favorite type, always will be. they are crap compared to every other choice currently in destiny.

That's what I'm saying if you rush someone with an ar your likely going to lose. You have to play defensive and choose your fights so you do get a drop on them when you choose your fights. The meta has changed and you have to be able to adapt your playstyle to compensate if your going to stick to ars
