give ARs back the 2.5% dmg they needlessly took away and watch what will happen. TKK for primaries are about as close as they can get, most being within about .3 seconds. btw this IB ive died to TLW wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more than any other gun.

  • Ar's like vanquisher shadow price and xuros regime were way to strong with that 2.5% increase. People would start spamming as soon as they seen the radar pop off for spray and pray tactics. Autorifles can still get kills you just have to be able to hit the headshots and not just spray the body.

    i can count on one hand how many outright gun battles ive lost to ARs since they took that 2.5% off. it wasnt the dmg that was making tactics like that work, but the range. range on them is currently in a good place, the dmg is trash compared to every other weapon.

  • You have to play defensive with ar's now you can't rush if you rush someone with an ar now your going to get shutdown quicker than stink on shit. Make sure if you go into a fight you have the drop on them and hit the headshots because if you miss one your likely going to die.

    I just realized were having the same discussion in 2 threads lol.... The problem is other primaries can do just fine in any situation, within their effective range. Youre the only person ive seen disagree with ars getting that dmg back. There are a few posts with well over 1k likes and several more bumps for it.

  • Lol my bad i don't mind ar's gettint a buff but I think it should be a gun by gun basis not all ar's get a huge buff you know what I mean. Look at the summoner if that gun got say a 5% buff it would wreck havoc to anything same way with suros. I think the high impact low rof should get maybe a 1-2% buff at max and the low impact high rof maybe a 5%;but if you gave everything 5% you would have only 1 to 3 ar's thar everyone uses.

  • they were nerfed based off impact, 2.5 was only the average number, suros saw something like 5 or 7%, forget off the top of my head. where the max rof guns got less than 2.5%. still a stupid way to balance the game and i agree with you 100% on that. there was only like 3-4 ARs that were really op. the rest were in a decent spot, even before the first nerf, because they traded off range or stability for the high rof or high impact.

  • Yeah and that's where bungie should do nerfs off a gun by gun basis instead of taking the lazy route they did with the ar nerf. The messenger from trials is a two shot burst to the head. And fires pretty damn fast. It seeks like their trying to make the time to kill faster for certain classes.
