The "balance" that people idealize is a game where there aren't any good crucible guns. Even though thorn is one of the best crucible guns, it's not alone up there. Hawkmoon, TLW, and red death are also viable crucible weapons that can easily compete with thorn.

If all guns are bad then they are all good. There doesn't need to be good crucible guns

If there are no good crucible guns, why even play the game. How will people be rewarded for their devotion?
