80 percent of destiny player base doesn't do end game content If it's easy for you, congratulations, you are in the 20 percent that does end game content Even less do trials, again if you do trials, congratulations, you are in the top one or two percent of destiny player skill level Millions of players are blocked from advancing in the game now, since millions don't play end game content Maybe time isn't the only issue 80 percent of the player base faces, but it could also be skill level, as well as any other manner of things that keep millions of players from playing end game content

You have no perspective on that 80%. Yes, only 20% have completed a raid. 30% have equipped an exotic. So somewhere in the middle is the line between beating-the-game type players and endgame players. Let's use the middle and say 25% are endgame. Looking at other games trophy data u can clearly see a dropoff as the games progress, even in AAA titles (Assassins Creed and CoD usually are on the lower end). Heck, on average only 95% complete the first board in any game! By the time u get to the final board and completion (on any level), you are left with 30-40%. Yes, Destiny lags behind a bit, but nowhere near as much as click bait articles will have u believe. In summation, only about 15%-20% of ENDGAME players have not completed a raid. Not unreasonable at all. Edit: I used PS3 trophy data. While their is a margin of error across other platforms, one could expect similar numbers. Also, given the age of many of the titles I sampled (I sampled way more than I listed, of course), older games will yield a much higher player pool.

  • That's perfectly fine though. You're not looking at the game from both perspectives. This Is An Mmo type game that is trying to adhere to different types of gamers and if this 80 percent you speak of is getting upset because there is casual and hardcore content what happens when all the content is meant for casuals. Where does it leave the hardcore crowd that enjoys some sort of difficulty. This is the way these games work, and the way traditional mmos play out whether it be gw2, world of warcraft, aion, tera, aoc, etc etc. If you choose to be a casual then play your casual content. no, you're not going to have the best gear and no you won't clear the best content. If you want to experience that content you can't wait until you've either out leveled it or until you decide to dedicate more time to it. However, Noone is being blocked. And your preference for pve to pvp isn't anything bungie should worry about either. Everybody knew coming into this game there was a pvp model. And with it comes pvp exclusive rewards. Again, just like any other similar game for the past decade has offered.

  • The fix for that is difficulty levels, so that everyone can experience the entire game regardless of skill level I play the end game content, but I wish everyone had all the weapons and gear from raids etc

There would be no incentive to the hard cores if the lower level difficulty stuff offered the same rewards. If you just want to experience content that's fine. But the majority of the people would still be crying because the best gear would come from content they cannot accomplish. Why Is it that this generation of gamers wants everything spoon fed. It's sad when games from super Nintendo or n64 are more difficult than today's games. Not everyone should have the same stuff. Especially in a progressive competitive game. This game is already too easy imo

  • The incentive could be a trophy or emblem, but not gear and weapons I'm 45 years old, I've played lots of the older stuff. For me, this game is way difficult! If it wouldn't be for the new friends I've made through my clan, who are much better at it than me, I'd have quit long ago But I enjoy the game. It's fun. And I'm glad my buddies help me improve But it's still more difficult than it needs to be I understand having something for everyone, and that hard core players want more challenge But at only 20 percent of the player base, I'm not sure how that is a good business model I think this generation of gamers play for different reasons than previous generations Perhaps they just want to spend time in imaginary worlds, feel like a hero for a couple hours then go back to real life I suppose I will just have to start my own gaming company and make games for the 80 percenters lol
