I'm glad to see that others appreciate my outlook on the game and that others are also seeing the toxicity of the aggressive banter found on these forums. Our society has become one of self-entitlement and dissatisfaction with everything we come in contact with. I believe there are many factors involved with this situation and there's no easy fix either.
I would say that my point of view may come from the life I've lived and that being of enlisted military both as a dependent child and as an active duty member as well. Living that life makes you appreciate things a bit more and realize that you don't always have to have absolutely everything to enjoy whatever you're involved with. I still remember sitting in the desert, listening to my iPod and chatting with my wife on yahoo messenger when the Internet was fast enough to send our messages. Situations like that make me realize that a lil lag in an online game is a minor thing and could be so much worse or even impossible if things were slightly different.
If more people were able to safely go through hardships in order to teach them to appreciate what they have, I think this world would be a better place. That won't happen tho and I don't expect most people to consider or even read everything I've written. However, it's nice to get my opinion out there I suppose.
