I honestly think this DLC is Bungie trolling PvPers. Here's why:
Hardcore PvPers hit max level on Friday or Saturday when the trials opened up. Yay. 5 days after spending 20 bucks, and probably after about 3 hours of gameplay, they were maxed on all three characters. What is the point of that? Now what do they do? I don't PvP very much... I dabble here or there... Did one IB to completion... I just don't think it is that enjoyable.
PLUS: the weapons they get, especially the "adept" versions, are geared toward PvE. Sounds kinda trolly to me.
Meanwhile: I am happily taking my time on the PvE side of the house. Knock out all the nightfalls, weekly heroics, queen bounties, new missions, and 28/32 PoE and I have 3 33s, with no reason to sprint to 34.
I am getting PoE armor cores for the first three weeks and banking any etheric light I get for my guns... Just waiting to hit 34 on all three characters in week 3. Then and only then will I consider PoE 34/35.
After all, what is the hurry??? Congrats to the trials winners and braggarts. You win at life I guess. For some reason I am still having fun in PvE.

Some people (and this may come as a shock to you) play both PVP and PVE.
