Destiny. As a huge Borderlands fan, I can say for certain that the Borderlands universe wouldn't stand a chance against the Destiny universe.
With Destiny, you have:
The Fallen, a race with several different factions all apparently extremely good at war even without any intel, even going so far as successfully invading the Hellmouth (although they were stopped by Guardians, but that's besides the point).
The Hive, a huge race of undead warriors with literal gods on their side.
The Vex, an army of time-traveling, seemingly immortal death bots.
And the Cabal, a brutal, war centric race that are capable of wiping out entire planets.
Aside from the enemies, we have the Guardians, a massive group of very well trained soldiers with a wide range of skills and abilities. They have been by far the best line of defense Earth has ever seen.
Now with Borderlands, you have:
Hyperion, a super corrupt company with it's head so far up its own ass it likely couldn't be bothered to help anyone fight the Destiny universe.
Dahl, a company apparently incompetent enough to allow a large portion of their military to break off, go batshit insane, and nearly destroy an entire colonized moon due to the ramblings of a particularly crazy woman.
Jakobs, what appears to be the only competent company in the entirety of Borderlands, making very effective guns and not getting into any real trouble.
Tourge, a company that, while it does make good weapons, has a kind of stupid CEO that will likely cause the company to fail at some point in the future.
S&S Munitions, a company that gets put out of business by mere bandits cobbling together weapons with spare parts.
Atlas, a company that goes under the moment Hyperion gains power.
The the wildlife of Pandora + Elphis, which, while it could cause problems for the Destiny universe, probably won't be a big enough problem.
The Eridians, an alien race shrouded in mystery (though from what we've seen, they seem extremely powerful).
And finally, the Vault Hunters. While they're all incredibly effective warriors, their numbers pale in comparison to the Guardians.
Overall, I feel that the Destiny universe has way too many advantages over the Borderlands universe for me to consider a win from Borderlands.

I probably could have worded it better, but what I meant by that was it doesn't seem like they can be fully killed as they can just travel back in time to a point where they were still alive. I think. I dunno. Destiny lore is a bit unclear/unfinished.

Hmm I feel the need to make a correction or two here. Atlas goes under cause their main force on Pandora gets wiped out by the Vault Hunters. Jacobs is just as stupidly incompetent as some other companies if you take note of Zombie Island. Hyperion is still a thing even without Jack. He didn't so much run the company so much as use it to his ends. Dahl... Well much of what happens to them is a result of Atlas' first occupation, as many of the left behind employees and military go nuts before Eridian influence comes into play. Tongue doesn't run his own company. The board does and they just use him to sell product. What they are capable of is unknown Course the argument of which universe can -blam!- the other up worse is moot. No real winner can be chosen when folks wanna use wildly different gameplay stats as their basis
-
Ah, I didn't know about Jakobs's involvement in Zombie Island, I've never played the DLC. And I guess you're right, the whole argument really doesn't matter. It's still pretty fun to imagine what it would be like if the two universes fought, though.

If you wanna look at things from the lore angle, I'd wager they are both even. Destiny has space magic to even the odds and cover for their weapons not being as outrageous. The serious weakness here, for now, is a lack of space options for combat and semi predictable skill sets Borderlands on the other hand has solid supers, some of which are not so super or special. Weapons though are beyond outrageous and incredibly varied and the Vault Hunters have a very wide number options of how to carry out their business due their many equipment options and skill sets being so varied. The main weakness here is lack of numbers with their only being a few Vault Hunters worthy of the title (11 at the time of this post). NewU stations don't mean much at all here as it wouldn't change the fact that they are still seriously outnumbered. Both sides really don't have enough to put them over the other at this time, especially with Destiny's lore still being lacking in several areas needed to expand this line of discussion.

Norfleet+Sham
-
(Pre-Patch) Conference Call+Bee. Classic murder combo
-
And this is relevant how? You are making a stat argument that doesn't hold water with the games having little to nothing in common in regards for their mechanics
-
I'd say that since you can one shot atheon using a norfleet, and just throw on a sham shield to ignore 97% of all the bullets fired at you. A single vault hunter is worth tons if guardians. That's not including iron gods, vermiverous, terramorphus, and all the other invincibles.
-
The Templars sheild is invincible to everything unless it's The Relic.
-
You can walk under the shield.
-
But you still can't damage the Templar.
-
They could just pick up the relic. Also The Templar still can't leave the vault.
-
And Guardians have dancing skills.
