Taking the steps to my right I ascend to another level of the seaside part of Perth Varcoe. At the top of the stairs I see a small restaurant with outdoor seating. It overlooks the ocean, the waves beating upon the cliff creating a unique setting.
It's mid afternoon when I take my seat and order some tea.

I like this post, simply because there's a restaurant by a lake IRL that is just like this near my home. Let's call it The Windlass.
-
(The Lord Commander, noticing Felix's presence, strides over quickly and sternly salutes.) Ah, Lord Ireton! I have been looking to speak with you on a matter of grave import to our city.

Edited by Sylok's Defiler: 4/25/2015 11:31:31 PMHmm? Spit it out then.
-
We found some kind of chemical weapon out there in the flats. It's a red gas of a sort. 3 men have been exposed, and the only way we found to save them so far was to induce a coma. Do you have any idea what it is?
-
It's part of an Ignus bio weapon. For now, keep it quarintined until you can find a substance that can diffuse it
-
We shall endeavor to do so. Do you have a specific directive regarding the increasing Outlaw Company recon flights? We have been closely monitoring them, and it seems they are planning a possible attack.
-
The boogeyman and I have history. If he attacks, it won't be him.
-
Alright then. I was forced to engage an Outlaw base on my way here after passage negotiations broke down. I was nearly pushed to using a MIRV system to escape their fleet, but it detonated inside my ship before I could launch it. Despite this, my intelligence officers have informed me that the Outlaw propaganda arm has painted me and my forces as dangerous pirates and war criminals, who have callously murdered civilians. Do you have a recommend course of action?
-
Propaganda arm? ... I think someone is playing you...
-
Ooh. That's not good then.
-
That's very cool! Sounds good! I'll add the Windlass to the places I go to eat at.

Edited by HDOG4511: 4/25/2015 9:30:50 PM*Winston orders at the cafe counter his favorite tea and turns to look at the ocean, he notices you and is overcome with the sudden urge to introduce himself to you, he walks over to you with care put into each step* "Hello Miss....is this seat taken?" *He flashes his award winning smile and places his hands on the back of the empty seat across from you*
-
I nod and flash a small smile. "I suppose some company is better than none. Please sit down, if you wish." Fleetingly I glance at the sea before turning an inquisitive eye to you. "My name is Nikki, I don't believe I got your name?"
-
"Nice to meet you Nikki...I'm Winston...it's a pleasure to meet you" *He looks at the ocean* "It's beautiful isn't it"
-
"It is magnificent. I really do enjoy visiting here. Peaceful and calming." The waitress comes and delivers the tea. I thank her and with my right hand twist my long hair and move it off of my shoulder so that it does not get in my way. Taking a sip of the tea my gaze returns to you. "So are you a citizen of Perth or are you visiting as well?"
-
"Sadly I'm not a citizen of this place" *It is noticeable that he is an elf of about 20 years of age* "I do work here however....... I'm a member of what is left of the elite guard small but few....primarily elvish. ....." *He seems enraptured by the ocean, but brakes his gaze to look at you* "A tourist are you?"
-
Edited by blackwolf619: 4/25/2015 9:57:08 PM"Oh is that so?" Looking down and swirling my tea I hide a charmed smile. You're affinity to the sea is endearing. "For myself, I suppose I am only but a tourist. How did you become a part of the Elite Guard when you are not a citizen though?" Brushing back some loose strands of dark curly hair, I realize that my question may be a bit too forward for once met strangers. "Oh I do apologize if my question is rude. Please dismiss the question if you do not wish to answer."
-
"No no it's quite alright........I joined the elite guard by swearing loyalty to the old Queen......may she rest in peace.....the job transferred to the new regime ......However most of the others have left......." *He sighs, his mind wandering but he refocuses back on to you and smiles* "I protect the citizens ....even if it means I have to do it from the shadows and not receive any credit"
-
"Oh I did hear of that, sad times those were. I'm sorry that some of your comrades left." I take another sip of tea and warm my hands against the cup. Breathing in the warmth I close my eyes for a second and smile. Putting the cup down, my warm brown eyes are bright. "It's good that you have such a positive look on your job. You seem to have an excellent character Winston."
-
Edited by HDOG4511: 4/25/2015 10:20:25 PM"Thank you Nikki...if you don't mind me asking ....why did you come here ....I mean.. . I'm happy to meet a friendly, beautiful face any day" *Winston Smiles* "But why are you here?"
-
To this I cannot hide a smile. Luckily my tan contains my blush. Softly I bite my lip before answering. "That's very kind of you, thank you. I though am only here for the calm environment and ambiance. I travel from place to place in search of unique places to eat or simply to enjoy the area.... and on occasion, even the company."
-
"I'm hoping you're enjoying the current company" *Grins* "Can I ask if you don't mind answering, where are you from....I noticed the Tan"
-
"Yes, actually I am very much so." I push my hair back again and cross my legs, sitting back in my chair. "Oh yes, I can be easily spotted I suppose." I rub my arms and hold out my hands looking at them keenly before settling a hand on my lap while with a fingers I follow the lines of my tea cup. "I'm of mixed decent from Earth originally."
-
"I'm glad to hear that you're happy, a smile on your face is like a sunset, beautiful and hard to turn away from" *He smiles at you once more and then looks at the sunset* "Back on topic mixed decent you say?" *Winston rests an arm on the table and looks at you with intrest*
-
I can hardly repress a smile, but lean back a little more. "Handsome and charming? Whatever will I do?" Smirking, I sigh and tousle my hair a bit, thinking. "Decent you say? Well my father was Black and my mother European. You on the other hand look Elvish. Whole? Or Half?"
