osha is suppose to insure that construction jobs are safe for workers, they mostly just tell people how to do their jobs "safely", force people to use equipment that they say is safe (i got sick because they wouldn't let me use my equipment) and charged small businesses tens of thousands of dollars for "safety violations", they are federal funded and answer to nobody because they are a branch of government, they have safety classes for people to take but it's usually over 100$ for a 10 hour corse (if they care so much why is it so expensive) and it was just a 10 hours on how to tell them if you see anything, if I remember nixon signed osha into existence (that's a good sign).
