I really don't mind that they fix the cheese, but at least put it in the patch notes.

It's not a cheese. It's what a sniper is meant to do
-
100% agree. It gripes me when they make an environment, players find a way to use it effectively, then they say "no we don't want you to do it that way", and change it. See also: templar encounter.
-
True that. Sniping is a fun tactic. Sometimes I'm in the thick of it with a shotty and hand cannon but then there are times I like to snipe from the cliff. Nothing wrong with that.
-
Buckshot shotguns are suppose to be effective at 500 yards but there not in destiny because it's a video game enemy's are suppose to shoot back and your not meant to be able to clear rooms/areas without being shot at just because "that's what snipers do"
-
A shotgun in any video game does not shoot that far. It is a CQB weapon. I am not talking about real life. In all FPS video games a sniper has the same role.
-
Not cqb, cqb is 5 to 25 feet, not just (and ONLY) 3 feet away.
-
I can't think of any game that let's you snipe with unlined ammo unopposed without enemy's shooting you back unless it's a stealth style game where your punished for shooting the wrong person or being detected
-
You haven't played many games then. Minus the unlimited ammo, FPS always have a level that offers the opportunity to snipe. Bungie even admits what is happening now is a mistake.
-
A LEVEL (that would punish you in some way getting detected ect) not make the entire game cheesable by snipers, they also called the mythoclass nerf an accident just to appease the community when it obviously wasn't or they'd have rectified it immediately
-
We weren't speaking about the entire game or the vex. Non sequitur. Good day sir
-
The vex is relevant because it shows bungie are willing to lie to appease the community just like they've done today and just like they did with the vex , I thought we where discussing weather being able to snipe things that don't shoot back is a cheese/cheap skilless tactic which is applicable to the entire game? Have all your arguments been discredited
-
Why? Fixing cheese doesn't need to be communicated.

They posted on twitter that the changes were unintentional. They are going to give more info soon. Not really sure how it happened though since they didn't change anything in the Winter strike.
