Have you ever been hunting? Have you ever used a high powered rifle and shot a target from a great distance? Do you UNDERSTAND what sniping is? I thought not? Get off the "cheesing train." You are on the WRONG side of Console Gaming history. Do some research before you input your OPINION as facts. Bungie and you are wrong!!!!

  • Well said. Sniping is a military tactic and Bungie is wrong in their patch. Hobgoblins can snipe you from a 1000 meters and one shot kill you. It's 3 against 40 that can easily kill you. Sniping is an intelligent tactical choice.

  • It's a video game. If you ran snipers like real life you'd never get shot at once. Doesn't work, sorry bro. Snipers can have the longest range, but the mobs need to be able to shoot you back. Otherwise it's just broken mechanics.

  • Says you and you are COMPLETELY wrong. Snipers by their definition get you OUT OF the firefight. Only Snipers or heavy artillery, etc. can reach other Snipers generally in war. You will argue however for arguments sake until the cows come home. Truth doesn't matter.. only Bungie and their game you will defend. I'm speaking from experience with guns and even more importantly, from games. I have played and finished over 4,000 games, own 5,560 games and 183 consoles, and have been intricately involved in Video Games since Atari Pong. My argument is from facts and experience and expertise. Yours is from your opinions. Which matters most?

  • Video games are meant to be challenging enemy's are meant to shot you back, if they don't it's broken game mechanics, bungie are well in there right to patch game mechanics if they think there broken and they have which they want people to play there game correctly and be rewarded for the effort they expended not glitch cheese or use cheap tactics to speed to rewards screens

  • You are again stating your... OPINION. Yes it is Bungie's IP, but it doesn't mean that the practices they are doing are right, or are historically in line with what 99.9% of all developers have done before.

  • Yes my opinion and I'll happily use it to call your opinion ridiculous just because you've played old games where good mechanics where hard to implement, it's bungie a game they don't have to follow any rules or make shit 1990 style games because people want to shoot things without being shot at, if that's what you need to do for your ego or whatever go snipe thrall from a mile away in patrol just don't complain your not being rewarded for your skill less playstyle Name a game that's designed to be played in the way you mean ?

  • You just went WAY off tangent. The discussion here is whether or not exploits/cheats, etc. are legitimate, or that Bungie is right in "sanitizing" their game of said exploits. EVERY game is therefore susceptible to this debate whether it is Destiny, Super Mario Bros., or for ANY and all consoles throughout time. Halo is a PERFECT example of exploits that players ran WILD with. It created a Youtube sensation for Halo: CE and others after it, and made Halo MORE popular than it ever would have been without the exploits, tricks, out of map glitches, and SO much more. You have NO experience to speak of obviously, yet somehow you think that YOUR opinions and what you believe and know about video games is FAR superior to someone like myself, or anyone else for that matter that has more knowledge about and the history of Console video games. That is called arrogance and grand delusion. Here is a news flash. Facts MATTER. Experience MATTERS. Knowledge MATTERS. History MATTERS. You bring NONE of those things to the table. And by the way, while it is technically Bungie's game, GOOD developers and artists see their work as the CONSUMERS at least in experience, impression and passion. And lastly, games of the 90's as you state weren't broken UNLIKE Destiny. They were done RIGHT the first time (at least in the case of 95%), because the developers knew they couldn't just FIX their mistakes on launch day with a patch, or sometime afterward. They actually CARED what kind of games they put out and did it right the first time. The fact that games were exploited then, or now is just a testament to gamers love for... GAMES. That's something you need to learn and something you need to understand. But most likely, you never will because you think you... KNOW IT ALL!!! when you know nothing really.

  • Poor deflection for what you already sense in your heart and mind. I'm right. And why wouldn't I be, if you believe what I've stated in regards to my experience pertaining to Console Video Games? Look, just enjoy Destiny, and Console Video Games overall, learn more and more about the hobby you love, and just state what you know and don't assume things that you don't know. Having a strong opinion on something based in facts is about as worthless as the crap you just took. Have a great day and I hope that this debate of ours pushed you to learn more about your chosen hobby in the future where you'll be armed with more knowledge.

  • You talk about your experience playing games so you should understand that no developer would intentionally allow people to shot at enemy's without a form of challenge/skill shooting enemy's from a mile away without them shooting back requires neither if it was pvp and you where shooting people that couldn't shoot back it'd be called a glitch, you're doing the same to AI's

  • Again, you are speaking without knowledge. Developers ACTUALLY made codes FOR gamers wherein they could be INVINCIBLE and skip levels and even see the ending without completing the game, or have infinite ammo, and so many other things. IMAGINE THAT!!!!! I think that is EXPLOITATION to the 9th degree more than sitting on some ledge and using a sniper rifle to GASP... Snipe. By your comments, it is apparent that you have NO knowledge of Video Games past, and also have never been hunting. But somehow, your opinion matters?????

  • Keep in mind that some of my consoles are duplicates of others, such as SNES and SNES model 2, etc. However, here is a list of all Core Consoles and about 99% of niche consoles as well as another list after it of Pong Clones. I do not have every Pong Clone ever made simply because I don't have the space (yet)... In any case, Pong Clones do mostly the same exact thing. They are also worth very little besides a few of them. This list is one of the most extensive you can find for NTSC consoles. I also have every Handheld ever released in the US and count those in my number of consoles. 1) Magnavox Odyssey Yes 2) Magnavox Odyssey 100 Yes 3) Magnavox Odyssey 200 No 4) Magnavox Odyssey 300 Yes 5) Magnavox Odyssey 400 No 6) Magnavox Odyssey 500 No 7) Magnavox Wonder Wizard Yes 8) Magnavox 2000 No 9) Magnavox 3000 Yes 10) Magnavox 4000 No 11) Telegames Pong/Atari Pong Yes/No 12) Super Pong/Telegames Super Pong Yes/No 13) Pong Doubles No 14) Atari Super Pong Ten No 15) Atari Super Pong Pro Am No 16) Atari Super Pro Am Ten No 17) Atari Ultra Pong No 18) Atari Ultra Pong Doubles No 19) Sears Pong II No 20) Sears Pong IV No 21) Sears Pong Sports II No 22) Tele Games Pong Sports IV Yes 23) Sears Super Pong IV No 24) Sears Hockey Pong No 25) Sears Hockey Tennis II No 26) Sears Hockey Tennis III No 27) Atari Stunt Cycle No 28) Atari Video Pinball Yes 29) Sears Speedway IV No 30) Sears Pinball Breakaway No 31) Sears Indy 500 No 32) Coleco Telstar Classic Yes 33) Telstar Regent Yes 34) Telstar Alpha Yes 35) Telstar Combat No 36) Telstar Ranger Yes 37) Telstar Sportsman No 38) Telstar Marksman No 39) Telstar Arcade Yes 40) Telstar Colormatic No 41) Telstar Gemini No 42) Telstar Deluxe No 43) Telstar Galaxy No 44) Telstar Colortron Yes 45) Diasonic Yes 46) Radio Shack TV Scoreboard Yes 47) Bentley Compuvision No 48) APF TV Fun 401 No 49) APF TV Fun 401a No 50) APF TV Fun 402 No 51) APF TV Fun 405 Yes 52) APF TV Fun 406 No 53) APF TV Fun 442 No 54) APF TV Fun 444 Yes 55) APF TV Fun 500 No 56) APF TV Fun Sportsarama No 57) Sportsman T101 No 58) Tournament 100 No 59) Tournament 102 No 60) Tournament 150 No 61) Tournament 200 No 62) Tournament 1000 No 63) Tournament 2000 No 64) Tournament 2501 No 65) Olympian 2600 No 66) Colorsport VIII No 67) APF M1000 No 68) Fairchild Channel F Yes 69) RCA Studio II Yes 70) Atari 2600 Yes 71) Sears Tele-games 2600 Yes 72) Sears Video Arcade II/Atari 2800 Yes 73) Entex Adventure Vision No 74) Action Max Yes 75) Bally Arcade (Astrocade) Yes 76) Magnavox Odyssey 2 Yes 77) Fairchild 2 Yes 78) Intellivision Yes 79) Vectrex Yes 80) Arcadia 2001 Yes 81) Colecovision Yes 82) Atari 5200 Yes 83) Intellivision 2 Yes 84) Intellivision 3 Yes 85) NES Yes 86) Atari 7800 Yes 87) Sega Master System Yes 88) Tiger R Zone Yes 89) Atari 2600 jr.
