I'm not sure how many times I have to say this because this community won't get it through it's thick fat head:
USING A SNIPER PERCH IS NOT CHEESING! IT'S CALLED TACTICS!

https://twitter.com/Bungie/status/590576802713706496 It's a bug. Not intended
-
Thanx for the info. Hard to believe nobody figured the bug out for a week though. What then did they change to cause it lol
-
i snipe phogoth every time. black hammer to his crit.
-
It would be less of a cheese if the enemies could snipe back. Cheese or not, I'm soloing so I'll be somewhere... semi-safe.
-
They can. At least from most vantage points. I've had many one shot deaths from Archos snipers
-
Then we're not talking about the same point. I've soloed this NF multiple times, and this part of the strike can be done without being shot at, at all. Only when some random ad gets into hiding do you have to get down in the line of fire to clear them out...

Hemoglobin Vandalism sippers
-
What the hell do you think hobgoblins are?
-
That's the thing, they can snipe back. I've seen plenty of people die up there from being careless.
-
Yea I've been hit and seen people die even on the top rock. All it takes is a couple shots from a hobgoblin to take someone down
-
Hobgoblins.

Edited by puppyk1sses: 4/21/2015 3:29:47 PMLol. If being able to sit there and mindlessly shoot enemies from a bajillion yards away with your Icebreaker when they are unable to see you / aggro you / hide from you / fight back isn't cheesy, I don't know what is. I get that they put it in the game... Their fault. But you're attacking enemies that have no way to attack back. Kind of the definition of a cheese.
-
But you're attacking enemies that have no way to attack back. Kind of the definition of a cheese.
this is not a cheese , it is the definition of a sniper. the Barrett .50 is supposed to be able to hit target at 2K. pretty sure those cliffs are within 500 meters of the door
-
LOL so true keep it coming bro and I'm not being sarcastic I love what you have to say
-
That's the difference between RL and a video game brah. RL, targets scatter after 1 shot. Let's not confuse the two.
-
We also aren't fighting an unending supply of murderous time traveling robots in real life. Also, Hobgoblins have no trouble shooting you in the face from the same distance you do it to them.
-
No. It's called sniping. Why would they give us such a long range weapon if using it from that range was considered "unfair"?. Cheesing a part of the game is going outside the games normal boundaries to finish an objective. Ie: going outside the map with Armor piercing rounds. Or how people used to DC on Crota. Unfair my ass. It's more of an assassination. Staying inside the games boundaries without glitching anything is all fair.
-
Hobs can still snipe you up there.
-
-
Is that not what sniping is all about? I agree with above; sniping is not cheesing!
-
-
Have you ever been hunting? Have you ever used a high powered rifle and shot a target from a great distance? Do you UNDERSTAND what sniping is? I thought not? Get off the "cheesing train." You are on the WRONG side of Console Gaming history. Do some research before you input your OPINION as facts. Bungie and you are wrong!!!!
-
Well said. Sniping is a military tactic and Bungie is wrong in their patch. Hobgoblins can snipe you from a 1000 meters and one shot kill you. It's 3 against 40 that can easily kill you. Sniping is an intelligent tactical choice.
