(Begins playing chess with a local tentacled sewer horror)
Nothing to see here, move along.

*watching through scope* no move your knight to.. Gah damnitt he can put you in check from there!
-
An older, African American man with stubble and a shaved head floats next to you, as if he was sitting on a chair floating in the air. Infidels. They could learn a few things about chess before deciding to play it.
-
*looks up* I'm no infidel. I swore to the queen far before war broke out.
-
Not you, them. Look, they're both in a stalemate already.
-
*checks scope* ah yes, the white rook is in a stalemate with the black king
-
The entire concept seems rather racist if you ask me...
-
White moves first, ah the game was invented where there were no white people. Your ancestors.
-
He shoots you a quick glare.
-
*doesn't notice* Also, how are you floating?
-
Reversal of gravity through alteration of existing equations by replacing the former value with a negative number.
-
Ah a mathematical warlock.. I used to study such fields. Look. *points to a tree which promptly catches fire and immediately extinguishes itself*
-
He raises an eyebrow. That's not math, that's just magic.
-
Using math. *glances up from scope* Everything is math is you get good enough at it. Unfortunately I never mastered flight as you have.
-
Oh, really? Why don't you tell me this equation, then? He slides out a small pamphlet from his coat, some sort of welcome papers. Numbers surround the book, and it incinerates.

Edited by hyperbolichippo: 4/9/2015 5:20:20 AMT<(fx√4tx)/3.14...y^2 That's the simplest form, where t is the desired temp, x is resistance, y is object density, and f is distance
-
Right application, wrong formula. But I accept the premise. The correct one was (12.03in•4.56in•.67in)=F451. Increasing the exact area of the pamphlet to the exact temperature at which paper burns.
-
Well my equation can burn anything, can heat the air to any specific temp, not just wood. In a good day, I can melt steel. *looks back into scope* makes me wonder why I became a hitman...
-
All I have to do is increase F a couple million degrees and I could have you a pile of ashes in no time.
-
Not with this armor on me *pats chest* the most heavily enchanted armor in this city. Insulates anything. I survived getting attacked by a powerful mage twice. Once he tried to burn me, the next he tried to electrocute me. *swipes visor over face*
-
*takes notes*
-
Survive two million degrees of heat? Forgive me if I'm skeptical.
-
I've survived absolute zero in my prime, so yeah I think I can.
-
Of course you survived absolute zero. People don't seem to realize that as long as there is no energy, nothing can change. Ergo, you cannot die.
-
No things can happen, there is just no movement. Time doesn't stop.
-
Yes and no. Everything requires energy to happen.
