This is a serious question, what exactly is the big bang? Like i know it is all the universe into a small dot, but how did it get there? I have asked my teacher but he just laughs and walks away, and I don't know why.
We don't know what the big bang is. The name "big bang" implies there was a huge explosion of some kind. But what it is is unknown. It is also said that all matter, space and time itself was 'born' during the big bang. From big bang to 10^-34th seconds (planck time) is completely unknown to us. To get more information about the planck time require scientists to combine quantum and gravity theories, which so far we have been unable to do. But the question as to what big bang was and what caused it, there is a simple answer" We don't know.
Also please take this with a grain of salt. As I'm just some random high-schooler. This may or may not be correct. I think it is, but it may be wrong. Physics is not my best subject. Would prefer if someone could confirm this or something.
