Honestly, if you are going into the matchmaking solo or with one friend, the useless afker or the clueless 27 won't matter. You were still planning on going solo/duo before matchmaking and now the enemies are easier to kill.

Don't the enemies scale up the more players you have in you team?

I could be wrong, but a long time ago they made it so it was slightly easier with a full party and slightly more difficult alone. Yet again don't quote me on this. However, as someone who has both soloed and run weeklies with a party, I notice no difference to my damage and the damage I receive. So it's either easier with a group or it makes no difference lol.

I think it still scales but is just harder by yourself. Which means if one of your players is ark then it would be harder than with just two people

It's not a huge difference though. You can always just leave and join til you get some not afk
