In my opinion, it's The Documentary 2 by The Game. The album was so long (At 40 songs, it's just as long as Speakerboxxx/The Love Below) the second disc was named The Documentary 2.5. It brings together the classic vibes heard in The Documentary and Doctor's Advocate, but with The Game's new attitude. Prior to the album's release, all I heard were haters. On October 9th they were all silenced.
Talking strictly albums, what do you think the most recent album to achieve "instant classic" status is?
