Edited by FairlySplendid: 5/14/2014 3:45:16 PMThe instant install-base for last-gen is still to gigantic to be ignored. It's going to take at least one more Christmas (if not two) for AAA Developers to truly step away from the 360 and PS3. Bungie needs a HUGE community rallied around this game. WHY? Because Destiny's potential, its main selling-point, is centered around the social, co-op, and persistent world elements. Features that require warm bodies to work properly. Destiny #2 is a different matter. But for now, Bungie needs as many people as possible to get a taste of Destiny. To insure the franchise's future prosperity.

I hope it does.

the graphics will be better on next-gen. last-gen consoles aren't holding that back. Other than that, the game won't be any different other than minor details that won't available on last-gen. Last-gen won't hinder anything.

Unfortunately Destiny falls in the horrible cross over period between last gen and next gen. To leave out the ps3 and xbox360 within this window would be a mistake from a sales point of view but with account upgrades to next gen and the second in the series and quite possibly dlc 6-8 months after launch being exclusive to next gen will like see a lot of people move over to next gen. The only other way would be to push the game back and thats really not going to happen now

It'll live up to the potential. Bungie is creating the game to be the best it can be on each console it'll be on. No need to fret.

We have to wait and see
