Trinary Star Cult, a nod to the old story of Destiny?
I was lurking through reddit and found an old post with the following picture attached (I know it's been around for a while) , but upon seeing this image again it started the thought that maybe the Trinary Star Cult is an acknowledgement of the early build and Crow's group.
For those who don't know Trinary star cult is a cult (maybe faction?) who curse the travelers light.
Destiny's (early build) story revolved around something being wrong with the traveler and the speaker, the Trinary Star Cult curse the travelers light thus abandoning it.
If anyone has any thoughts or other concepts feel free to share.
Tl;Dr: Trinary star cult may be Crows Group.

5 RepliesOne thing Bungie has never addressed is that they may have mixed up the names of the Binary Star Cult and the Trinary Star Cult. The Binary Star Cult is mentioned on a Grimoire card as believing the Traveler had bad intentions and possibly caused the collapse, while the Trinary Star Cult is mentioned on a cloak as the group that curses the Traveler's light. It's highly possible that the Binary Star Cult and the Trinary Star Cult are the exact same group, but the name was mixed up somewhere throughout the writing.
