I have stumbled upon a torn piece of parchment I discovered while doing exploratory research within a deep network of caverns in the Hellmouth. It was created by an unknown warlock named "Torzakin".
I cannot permit you to read this parchment directly, for the value and power of it have staggering capabilities, and I must not allow them to enter the wrong hands, but I will do my best to explain the entire experience the best I can. I can say, with an unfathomable amount of confidence, that Torzakin is no ordinary warlock….no ordinary warlock once so ever.
I was initially shocked that such parchment had survived the harsh environments of the Hellmouth.I was also surprised by the fact parchment was chosen as a means to record data when there are certainly more technological alternatives that would have proved more useful. As I began to read the entry however, it became blatantly obvious that this was no ordinary parchment. No ordinary parchment once so ever.
The words on the page literally began to move as I read them, but………. that was only the beginning. The powers this parchment presented to me broke entirely everything I knew about the way we understand the light……my eyes gazed upon new horizons. As I continued reading I could see everything Torzakin was experiencing, but through his own eyes. That wasn’t the amazing part though…..it was his thoughts…they…they were right there in my own mind. They were being spoken in a voice that brought about a pungent air of wisdom, sorrow, and battle experience. His voice was quaint, robust, cocky, and humble all in one emotional wave of staggering complexity. It terrified me at first.
Since I cannot allow you to directly experience the effects of this journal entry I will do my best to explain them as they happened when I have read it.
I will put these effects inside of two * marks as the entry unfolds. For example, when the words raise from the page I will enter *The words began rising from the page*. Anything you see within the * marks are my interpretation of the events, not Torzakin’s thoughts.
The entry follows:
JOURNAL ENTRY BEGINS
“ Day 9,031. Entry 1.
*Words began to rise from the page*
Daily Report Start:
hunt for new weapon developments continues.
extremely excellent progress made.
new light energy proving to be quite extraordinary.
Mezmordika and Howling Light excellent condition still.
heavy machinegun still not assembled, still in pack.
Daily Report End.
Commence Cognitive Recordenence Ritual.
*The words on the page violently snapped into areas of air around the parchment in rapid succession. Then strands of an unknown light I had never experienced before started manifesting an image in front of me*
*A radiant green light encapsulated my vision*
*The light slowly began fading*
*I could see from Torzakin’s eyes and hear his thoughts as the light faded, but the light still maintained a feint presence on the edges of my perception.*
Combat Report Start:
I have rested near the entrance of an excellent site for research data on the Scout Rifle, who has been deemed Mezmordika, and the Shotgun who I have named Howling Light. Ever since they were fused with the new Bioluminescent light energy I have discovered, their capabilities have erupted to new levels. I am not sure if any other gun will ever be as satisfying to enter combat with again.
I have actually forgotten the name of my Heavy Machinegun, for she has not spoken a language that I can understand in oh so long. She sleeps in my pack till I may awaken her potential with some more of this new light energy. My hunch is that there is some ahead but I’m never certain anymore, it has proven to be unfathomably difficult to find. Mezmordika and Howling Light incite such nirvana that I may never stop searching……ever.
Ahead I believe there are about 4 sword bearing knights on watch at the base of the stairs. 2 wizards and 2 boomer knights stand at the entrance at the peak of the stairs and a pack of about 13-15 thrall are hiding poorly within the next room. All adversaries seem to bear the marks of hive Hallowed Majors. They should make excellent research subjects.
Let the research commence.
*Torzakin bursts from behind a hardily noticeable rock formation he had been resting behind and slides into the center of the room about 50 yards away from the 4 sword knights at the base of the stairs*

Swordbearers down, 10 shots left in magazine.
*As each knight that died to Mezmordika faded away, they left behind an ominous cloud of green light that hung in the air for only a few moments. Initially I thought this was the similar disintegrating effect all weapons infused with light energy have, but upon further analysis it seemed as if the green cloud of light had a poisonous effect on any enemy who walked through it*

thrall are charging now….such simple creatures.

yes little ones, keep charging through the painful mist

it tastes oh so delightful doesn’t it!

All enemies down.
Ahhhhhh how I love field research.
*all of a sudden, a terrifyingly deep screech is audible in the distance and Torzakin’s entire mental and physical attitude shifted from playful glee to hardened battle discipline*
Can it be her?
It must be her, no other screech sounds that deep. How can a warlock forget when an ogre speaks intelligently to you from a distance? A female ogre at that. I know she is protecting more of the new energy………. she is far too strong, but I may have a chance…. and I need more of that light.
No…no…too soon….don’t make the same mistake as the others….
I must wait till the time is right, ill have to find some more elsewhere.
End Cognitive Recordenence Ritual.
*All of a sudden radiant green light flooded my vision again, and after it faded I was still where I was when I began to read it*
JOURNAL ENTRY ENDS
This new light energy Torzakin was wielding is quite possibly the most unbelievable thing I have ever experienced. I have dedicated much of my life to finding more of these pages in the hopes of bringing this new found light energy into the hands of as many gaurdians as possible. If things go as planned, I may just get to meet this mysterious Torzakin myself......I have so many questions....but it may be dangerous. Something tells me no one knows about him for a reason, and it's probably supposed to stay that way. Not to even mention that ogre...
I will report with addition findings as they appearr. The parchment is safe with the tower Monarchs for now, but I may need to find a more creative means of protecting it soon.
Harshank out *smoke bomb*

Pretty cool, look forward to reading more of these.

Awesome! I hope they make this into a quest and it could lead to answering some questions and the use of 'light' and how guardians are born from the light themselves. I like the names chosen here too, I think I want that Howling Light. You should really read Johannes Cabal the Necromancer if you haven't already, I think you'd love it.
