Need Help doing raids in general

am level 282 Titan and I have never played any of the raids in Destiny and would like to. Was hoping some of you would be willing to teach me the ropes of raids. Something easier like vault of glass normal at first. mainly because i haven't even done that raid and it will not be as harsh as others. Thanks in Advance.
