Mechanics of drops in Strikes

Bare with me as this might be long winded. After talking to Darkwolf I discovered a "trick" to getting exotics and Lengendary drops in Strikes. Once Destiny loads it sets all the "drops" for that particular Strike. If any Exotic or Legendary items are going to be in that Strike, they are "assigned" to random enemies within. Therefore, whoever kills that enemy gets the reward. So it is a good idea to kill ALL enemies within the Strike. You do not have to kill any of the lower level enemies. For example, when you start the Sepkis strike, you do not have to clear all the lower level enemies within the Rocketyard. You only need to kill the level 26 enemies. (Starting with Thralls and Acolytes in first "Room". I have done this twice now myself and got a Legendary Engram as a reward. Check out Darkwolfs video that shows all the Legendary Engrams in the bank. That was only 2 days of running Strikes! He actually got a Truth when he decoded them all. Hope this helps us all get some much needed equipment! It also helps explain why the dipshit who only had 10 kills and died 15 times gets the best reward. He was just lucky enough to kill the random enemy who had the drop assigned by the game.

This is all random of coarse, so lLegendary and Exotic do not drop every time. They do, however, drop more often than you think. When is the last time you killed everything in a Strike? Food for thought.
