Gazing Into the Future- Part 2

Hello again guardians! Welcome to the second installment of my third chapter to my first fanfiction, Everything Changes. She looked to Lakshmi and asked "Why are we still here?" Lakshmi simply replied, "Humans and Awoken have a set mind, so if they looked into the future they would be driven insane." Ikora looked at Lakshmi and asked "In that case where is Zavala?" "Well you see Master Rey, I can forcefully send a Human and or Awoken into the future." Laksmi began, "I forcefully sent him in because I saw what Zavala would do if he continued being the Vanguard. He would have caused the death of hundreds of guardians and I simply couldn't allow that." Truth took off her helmet revealing a rather young woman with shoulder length blonde hair and green eyes. She had bags under her eyes, showing that she rarely had a good night's sleep. She had full lips, high cheekbones with a strong jawline and a nose unlike any other. Truth studied Lakshmi with her Green eyes thinking about what to say next. "So you think it's up to you to determine what is good for the people?" She began, "You think you can decide who lives and who dies? Who does this who does that? Who are you to make these decisions?" "I don't think I can make these decisions, I know I can. I am Lakshmi-2. I have deserved to have been wiped more then any Exo out there. Yet here I am, wiped only once with more information and memories then Exos can dream of." With that she ended the conversation and left the room heading into the lounge. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dredgen Yor headed over to where to where Amanda Holiday always was and asked if he could buy a ship. For some reason the Vanguard hadn't taken his funds so he had more then enough glimmer to pay for the ship. After he had that, he went over to the Vanguard Quartermaster to buy some weapons. He chose a Hand Cannon named The Devil You Know, along with a Shotgun called The Comedian and finally a Heavy Machine Gun called Sawtooth Oscillator. He walked back to the Tower's courtyard to get some synthesis from the Gunsmith. When he got to where Banshee worked he was met with a Hand Cannon to the face. "Hello old friend." Dredgen said "I am not your friend" replied Banshee "Hmm they must have wiped you again." "What would you know about that?" "Quite a bit actually. I mean they wipe Cayde too so i wouldn't be surprised." "Don't you dare start talking about him Yor." "Alright, alright just lower the damn gun." "What do you want from me." "Just need a few synths Banshee. Five of each preferably." Banshee handed the synths to Dredgen and said that it was on the house as long as he never saw Dredgen again. Yor agreed and took the synths heading to his new ship. He loaded up and took off from the tower heading to Venus. He entered hyper drive mode, leaning back in his pilot's chair trying to get some sleep while he waited to arrive. -------------------------------------------------------------- Anon looked through the windows of the lounge, overlooking the whole hanger. He gasped at what he saw. Corpses of guardians where on the floor with Vex walking around carelessly stepping on the corpses. "How is this possible?" Anon asked no one in particular. He noticed a figure kneeling by one of the corpses and realized it was Cayde-6. He questioned himself as to how the Vex hadn't seen him and he realized that this was a one way vision. "We can see them, but they can't see us right?" he asked Zavala. However Zavala had disappeared. He heard Zavala walking down the stairs, and ran after him. "Commander!" Anon called, but there was no answer from Zavala, it was clear something was wrong. Zavala was walking over to where Cayde was now standing, holding a Golden Gun in his hands. "Zavala stop this nonsense." Cayde said. "Why should I?" "Because you shouldn't even be here." Anon looked at Cayde quizzically so the Hunter Vanguard explained. "Before i was the Vanguard i was a part of the FWC." Cayde began, "Since i was a part of them i know that Humans and Awoken cannot be send into the future, even if it is just a vision. The reason behind this is that they have a set mind, and when they look into the future this set mind passes the borders it should leading them to become insane." Zavala replied with "Oh look who's a clever Exo. Hahahahaha what do you know about set minds. Huh? Nothing. I am an Awoken and i actually have a mind unlike you Exos." "Zavala please." Cayde began "Keep your mind sane, think about everything that has happened to you and remember that you are Commander Zavala the Titan Vanguard. You are one of the heroes from the Battle of the Twilight Gap. You trained under Lord Saladin, the last of the Iron Lords." "I am no one and nothing." The Commander looked at Cayde sadly as the last of his sanity disappeared and he became something else. Someone else.
