Prepping for Raid / Getting Marks (minor spoilers)

[b]King's Fall Raid[/b] will be live tomorrow! ([u]9/18 @ 10am PST[/u]). The recommend Light Level for King's Fall, the new raid, is 280. Here are my tips for for getting higher light levels faster so you can jump in: * Finish chapter one of the story! You will need to, in order to access many other quests that bring on goodies. * Grinding the sword, will take a substantial amount of time and it is only light 220 to start. Consider carefully [b]Marks:[/b] * Easiest marks are from the daily crucible event. Don't need to win, just finish for 15 each day (account wide not character) * Daily story (also 15 marks acct wide) on the other hand is recommended light 240 and [b]EXTREMELY[/b] difficult under 230 (imo). Might need a higher level buddy or two if you're going this route... * Weekly Heroic Strike is worth 10 marks on each character * Taken War Venus (Story Ch2) first step gives marks and final give one legendary gear * Petra's chapter has an Exotic weapon in quest (Still unknown on it's light level, sorry) * Strike playlist, strike playlist, strike playlist (move up to [u]Heroic[/u] as soon as possible and try to complete multiple times w/o going to orbit for better rewards) * Dismantling [u]year 2[/u] legendary gear will give 3 marks for unleveled gear and 4-5 for leveled (don't need to buy the perks only need to have them unlocked so upgrading with motes should work if you've got em) * Finally, swords are fun but the grind is considerable and swords are only light 220 to start. This may not be the most time efficient if you're only wanting to get into the raid ([i]I know, I know.. But they're awesome!!![/i]) BTW, having a Nightstalker with the [u]Keen Scout perk[/u] will be helpful in finding chests That's all I've got for now. Best of luck out there guardians!! -Old_Sushi
