Open world.
So I was just wondering but when playing in destiny, is the world open in the fact like an online MMO or do u have to teleport to an area and you can only explore in that area you teleported to. Cause I really hope it is open where u can just walk around and its just a giant world to explore.

I was thinking about the main cities,i hope you can see a bunch ofother guardians before you head out with your fire team. Their game world seems too big to roam with just 3 people and yout occasional public events

I would think that you "teleport" to different locations and explore those. With all the different planets it would be impossible to just travel to each one without teleporting. Even on the same planet the locations are too far apart (Old Chicago and Old Russia for example). It just isn't practical to have one big space all connected.
