We all know that the BETA for Destiny is arriving sometime in the next few months. However, we do not know the scope of the BETA, we could be limited to several parts of earth, and the first 5th of the campaign, Or we could see one or two areas on every planet with no Campaign and just side missions. What do YOU think the BETA will include, and to what degree?
-
I'm guessing it will be mostly PvP and Co-op, with little to no singleplayer-y aspects. Given that, I'm thinking mostly raid- and strike-esques, and a few multiplayer maps, like in Reach.

Hopefully some precursor to the planned story of the full release in sept. I don't want to play some of the story in the beta. Would rather have some piece of story only available in beta. And yes strikes, raids, multiplayer with few maps would be a nice addition
-
Hopefully not too much.. I want the full game to be full of surprises
-
Probably starting moments of the campaign, level 5-10 max, one or two multiplayer maps with limited leveling there as well. I think it's more to get a feel for each class and gameplay, maybe a little stress test on the servers but not much more.

I'm sure there's an IGN article that said the Destiny Beta will be treated like a full product launch and wouldn't be limited to competitive multiplayer. So I guess we will probably get to try a little bit of everything.

Edited by HiLykSpace: 3/16/2014 5:42:18 PMI'm thinking full game play with level cap. Guess we're suppose to be bug hunting

I think the beta will contain parts of every aspect of the game.

Please stop screaming the word beta. People are trying to sleep.

Edited by leblnk: 3/15/2014 9:03:27 PMThere will probably be a tutorial mission that gets us acquainted with the controls and such. I hope that we can raid and venture out and do some sightseeing and side quests. I'm on the fence about including the campaign in the beta. I don't want to get spoiled.

Edited by Toxic waffle: 3/15/2014 6:31:25 PMAccording to MoreConsole, they're treating it like a full product launch.

They're treating it as a full retail launch.

If they are testing there servers, than probably one cooperative mission and a few game modes. Unsure about the inclusion of raids or other features.

From what I've read, the beta will be on the scale of a full game release. I'm expecting that all areas will be accessible. This means we will be able to travel to all the planets during the beta (but not necessarily at the start, as there may be some progression required to visit, say, Venus.). However, I'm guessing that we will not be able to play every mission available on every planet/location. This is where bungie will keep us guessing for the entire game. I'm not really worried about the where aspect of the beta, as no matter what there will be enough to play, even if I'm wrong. I'm more interested in knowing what we can take away from the beta, such as gear, experience points, and weapons. Become Legend!

I just hope all of Earth is open, and maybe the Moon too or at least parts of it.
-
I'm assuming just a little bit of campaign, like the area in Old Russia that they showed in the videos and a map or two of multiplayer.

according to deej team turnip will lay waist to the potato

Maybe chapter 1-2. Side missions. Earth plus 1 planet. 1-2 strikes. Maybe 1 raid. And a few pvp maps. Basically a little of everything. The idea of beta is to test the systems. So theyll want us to do just about everything. But just the tip of the iceberg that is destiny. I wouldnt be suprised if theyres no raids though. And maybe no story line.
