quote]I know a lot of randoms still have issues with this fight. Even though most of us understand center strategy at this point, there are still a A LOT of holes in the average fireteams game. Even those who claim to have it down makes very basic mistakes. I just wanted to go over some points that will eliminate 90% of the wipes on this boss fight, as many deaths are due to simple things, I'll go in order of the fight sequence for each tip.
1. You dont' have to bring every yellow knight down to .00002% health. We all know spawning orbs is a good idea to start the crota raid since many of us heal with orbs, its a valid strat. A 32 warlock using fusion nades and his weapons has NO problem killing 2 knights as long as they are each around 1/4 health. I see far too many fireteams trying to shoot it down to nearly nothing and it often leads to a knight dying to a regular gun. Once they are hurt, just leave them alone.
2. There are other hiding places for you besides next to the coffins. On the other side of the glass the pieces that seperate each glass piece can protect you, or you can jump on the tippy top of the big doorways. Stop standing on your buddies head. For some reason that doesn't work well and you'll end up taking more damage, not less.
3. Don't pop a bubble in the first room. For whatever reason the boomers LOVE to rush at bubbles. Just kill the acolytes first snipe knights to get them to 1/4 and stay stunned (and in the other room lol) and then super them when they are weakened.
4. When running to the center platform, stay to the far wall. People take long paths and end up getting hit by boomers. If you hug the wall you basically stay out of range the whole time.. On that note, here is a big one
5. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO JUMP TO REACH THE CENTER PLATFORM! I've seen so many randoms fall off that way by missing the jump.. The ledge along the side that keeps you out of boomer reach also allows you to walk to the center platform... Speaking of the center platform
6. Center strat does not mean dead center of glass only. Spreading to the other panes make it easier to hit the swordbearer no matter which way he moves, dead center if he runs far sides you can't see him... Speaking of hitting the swordbearear.
7. Don't rocket or nade the swordbearer when he is about dead. IF YOU HIT THE SWORD WHEN IT IS DROPPED WITH A ROCKET OR NADE, THE EXPLOSION SHOVES IT THROUGH THE MAP, THIS IS THE CAUSE OF THE DISAPPEARING SWORD GLITCH.
8. When dropping crota, have you sword guy call when you shoot and shoot when he says to, follow up with primary or shoot 2 if your can.
9. Seems like everyone uses right ogre room during ogres, I have 2 tips for this. First off, STAY OFF THE BIG DOOR TO THE RIGHT. Sometimes the knights shoot through the floor and cause a wipe, it only happens on that door, there are 2 other doors, use the one the ogre comes out from or the left one. It is just the same, except they can't hit you through the floor.
10. Second tip, second Ogre :D When shooting rockets at the second ogre, make sure you are all the way in the front of the dooorway, if you hit a chain you kill youself. Secondly, it only takes 1 or 2 people jumping and shooting to do this, if everyone tries to be the hero, you end up hitting someone else. The sword guy hasnt' used his rockets all fight, let him use his, along with a Ghorn user, everyone else just chill and wait for the second one to die..
11. Take your time on the last sword, let crota move right and then back to middle before doing your last sword, no need to rush. I like to have everyone go into the starting room to wait it out. Also, if everyone shoots the glass, you can lure the swordbearer over to you, for the final sword ONLY, I like this.. Sometimes since your waiting so long on the last sword, he gets all ADHD and end ups in the ogre room or something silly.
12. During the last sword, stay off the glass! Thralls can melee you through the glass. Remember that ledge I spoke of in tip #5, it is out of boomer reach AND is solid stone behidn you. Step over to that and it's foolproof way to get that last down with no deaths.
Bonus tip: for all swordbearers, KISS. Your not that guy on youtube that can do it in 2 swords everytime. Hell that guy on youtube isnt' either, fFor every fire team you see doing that in a vid, you missed the other 40 tries where the sword guy died. Also, it takes good coordination on rocket fire, more than most random fireteams will have. If you follow all my other tips, the ogre room isn't scary, just do it in 3 swords, do an average job, with well above average consistency

We do some things different. But alot of these are great tips.
