  • Mission Statement

This Xbox One clan is meant to introduce low-level raiders age sixteen or older to the raid and instruct them on how to properly manage a raid. It is also our goal to assist lower levels through the Nightfalls and Heroic Weekly Strikes. If we train you up from Noob to Master, we expect you to apprentice other newbies and instruct them in the arts of the raid. So essentially, we're all about helping newbies, and if you don't have the patience to play the shepherd of fire, then this isn't the clan for you. However, if building up a force to behold from the scraps of inexperience is your thing, we will be happy to have you! You will need to acquire a functioning mic (not your kinect, please because no one wants to hear your TV) to adequately learn the raids because communication is key.

Hard Crota, Titans, And how they are connected

Greetings shepherds, Yesterday, I experimented with multiple groups outside the confines of our clan to attempt to find the most effective/least risky method of destroying Crota on hard mode. As it turns out, having an invisible hunter is not infallible. The strategy: Everyone by now should be familiar (Or take time, now, to familiarize themselves) with the ledge outside of the "Glass" Panes on the room where Ir Yut awaits. This is more commonly known as the "Middle strategy" And the best way I have found yet involves a slightly modified version of this strategy, that DOESNT EVEN REQUIRE YOU TO KILL OGRES. I will attempt to condense this version, as I am at work and have other things to do, this is the only time I have computer access. You need at least 1 titan, 2 is preferred. The titans need to have Ward of dawn (The bubble shield) And the helm of saint 14 is recommended though not required. When crota is dropped, and the swordbearer is moving to his position on either the left or right side, have a titan deploy the bubble ON THE BRIDGE WHERE CROTA WALKS JUST IN FRONT OF THE BOOMER TOWER If done correctly, this draws the boomers fire towards the shield, and away from the swordbearer. The only other requirement, is dropping crota 3 TIMES each time you make a sword run on him. this requires very good coordination between teammates, and if done properly, it will kill him before ogres are out. Now on hard, crota goes enraged and spawns an oversoul right as he is abut to die, IT IS CRUCIAL YOU IGNORE THE OVERSOUL AND DROP CROTA THE 3RD TIME ON THE SECOND SWORD ATTACK. If done propely your swordbearer will have ample time to kill crota before the oversoul banishes you. I received my necrochasm (Crux of Crota) TWICE last night using this method. God speed guardians.

  • 3 crota drops per sword is pretty tough to coordinate with most teams. The last couple times I did it we would rush into the right ogre room immediately after the second sword, all six of us jump on the doorways, wreck the ogre as soon as he comes out the door, then snipe the other ogre across the level using a titan bubble for over shield. Then, run back up to the starting point and do it again. We also had no problem with boomers. I think someone said if you snipe the sword bearer as soon as he comes out the door that the boomers leave you alone. None of us bothered with the boomers, and they didnt bother us.

  • Sounds like a great strategy...looking forward to being a part of group using it. Still a 31 (need 10 more shards to upgrade boots to 36 light), but did get some good experience in HM last night (thanks to ATSF)....congrats on the Nechro! ESB
