Seriously I have had 4 pokemon stolen from me and I feel like smashing my DS because of it. How the -blam!- can people seem to think that getting traded a pokemon that needs traded to evolve suddenly = I can keep it.
I have lost a Alakazam, Machamp, Spritzee evolution and a gigalith. All I want to do is fill my pokedex and yet I got these -blam!-ers stealing my pokemon.
I refuse to trade anything that requires an item to be held at the same time or something I cannot get in the wild.
Has this happened to you? Or are you one of the -blam!-ers that steal them? I think I have only had 1 guy trade back n forth with me to evolve our pokemon turns out he was a rare person.

Logically, you'd put it up in the GTS and request it's evolution, unless you have an emotional attachment to the pokemon. Then, you arrange the trade.

Edited by Wolvers: 6/28/2014 6:52:10 PMLol Pokémon. Not been good since Hoenn. And the remakes look like shit.
-
you're a dumbass. rule 1 of online trading is to ARRANGE that shit, if you're too stupid to arrange the trade and make sure they know it's your own fault.
-
This is entirely your fault. There's no way for them to know if you want it back or not. For all they know you could have just been really nice. I mean, I got a shiny Omanyte through wonder trade once. There are some really nice people out there.

Pokemon got old after hoenn.

I learned this early. Playing RuneScape I had just got some shiny new mithril armor (which back in the day was not frowned upon) and a guy in Falador offered to trim it for me. Thankfully my father imbued my young mind with some common sense and I politely declined. He made a fuss and left. Later I befriended people by helping them out after getting scammed out of their armor. Point: Don't trade a random person anything valuable and don't trade an online friend valuable stuff unless you are 100% sure they won't scam you. I've heard too many stories of locals even screwing over their friends and ending that precious relationship for an expensive online item. Ridiculous.

>Trading with randoms Well there's your first mistake
-
That's why you arrange the trade with another individual. It's your fault.
-
Trade someone you trust then.
-
So you just trade with random people and hope they give your pokemon back?
-
Get some friends.
-
Your fault for not making arrangements ahead of time.
-
Stop playing with kids Lp.
-
Blame anyone but yourself. Good job OP.

If you want reliable traders, do it on here. OctaviusFalcon and I have traded a lot of trade evolvers.

Edited by Big Boss : 6/28/2014 11:21:24 AMDon't do it with randomers? Big mistake, always set it up with someone first, there's always people here who'll do it.
Your first mistake is trading with in-game randoms. You should be asking to trade with communities/groups like this. Not only are we more trustworthy, but we also have a way of communication so we know the reason for the trade.
-
Post in communities, like this one. I don't trust randoms anywhere.
-
Not enough pre-teen girls for you?
-
I would steal them just to make little kids like you cry.
-
what the -blam!- are you talking about?
-
Buy a second DS and game and trade between yourself
-
Well the admin of my pokemon group on Facebook is 16 and a girl, so you might like that!
-
How about making at an equal trade (eg I give you my Kadabra, I get your Kadabra - we both leave happily with Alakazams that have boosted exp?
-
Well, the thing with those is that they actually look like gifts. If you're trading with a random, there's no way to let them know your intent. It may be obvious to you, but to them, it looks like someone is being kind and trading them something with an immediately fulfilled condition that otherwise is really hard to get. Hell, I've done that very thing over wonder trade, catching graveler en masse and sending them off to see what happens (I've even traded a graveler for another of the exact same level and catch location, I guess I'm not the only one). So, what I'm really saying is that the community, for the most part, isn't really at fault. The best thing to do is to find a friend with the game or get in contact with someone with the game here, establish that you want to evolve things, and get their help.
-
You could just put them on the GTS and ask for the same Pokémon in return, that way everybody's a winner.
-
I never really was a fan of Pokemon that had to be traded in order to evolve. Luckily I had people who I could trust to return them to me.
