When I first starting playing Destiny, the obvious choice for me was out of a Warlock and a Hunter. I figured that people who liked Warlock were a sophisticated people. We were those who enjoyed asking questions, knowledge, mystery, art and enlightenment.
Hunters were people who liked adventure and discovery, stealth and challenge.
But Titan players? Titan players were clearly uneducated and uncouth. A people to avoid. They were those who always took the easy way out.
Afterall, why else would somebody pick a Titan and go into PvP with a Shotgun? Who else could enjoy running around the map punching people in the mouth, barging them and kneeing them mid air? Panic Fist of Havoc and dancing in their bubble on a flag then tea-bagging anyone who enters after certain death? These people must be the dregs of society.
Or so I thought...
Outside of PvP, the Titans are very useful! I am always in awe of the tools that they have to protect other guardians. Most of all in the Raid. I am actually dismayed if we have less than two Titans on the team.
But there is more to Titans than their part in the game. The people who pick Titans - the real life person - the players behind the Titans; are the nicest people that you can find!
I'm dead serious! I was just looking at my friend list and I came to realise that the people who have made the best conversation, been the most helpful, made me laugh the most, encouraged me when I have struggled; have all been Titan players.
Titan players are not only very useful in the game, but they are very intelligent people who know how to have fun and they are simply a joy to be around!
Take a moment to look at your own Destiny friends. Let's see if its just me or not. I have a feeling that it won't only be me who sees this. Titan players can troll you hard in PvP but they are really nice guys!
Beneath all of that argy-bargy bravado, beneath the heavy armour and testosterone lies a real heart of gold. Without Titan players, the community would be at a huge loss. They are to our credit and they are the needle that sews together the very fabric of our community.
They built the wall around the Last City. And I can assure you that when the Darkness returns, we will be in need of every Titan that we can find.
I used to hate Titans like you...
But now I have come to love them and they are my best friends. If you haven't got a Titan buddy yet, I implore you to find a few. You won't regret it!
Perhaps, just like the Unfriendly Giant, Titan players are simply misunderstood. Or perhaps a little shy (although more often than not a little overconfident).
But who could blame them? They make everything look easy, but they are really working hard to protect and look after us all.
Titans, you have my thanks and my respect. I celebrate you. I salute you.
And I really... really... REALLY... enjoy your Disco Bubble Dance Parties!
This, coming from a Warlock and Hunter player, and a Thorny Guardian.
See you all Starside.

Finally. I can be proud to say that I'm a Titan. I go through dark times when I join the fight against the darkness with my fellow guardians. People say harsh things like "Why did you pick the Titan, are you stupid?" and "Titans are uneducated scum that can't count to 3" I try to give advice to anyone when I can only to be pushed away by my "Lack of Intelligence" But knowing that I am recognized by someone, I can push on proudly. *A single tear falls from my eye as the crowd starts to cheer* Now let's go kick some ass.....

First I must ask.... What's a Thorny Guardian? Second as a dedicated Titan if you see me in the wild, I be glad to help just send me an invite explaining what it is you need help with and I'll be there if I am not already helping someone or engaged in my farming or bounties. #Titan4Life

Thank you, sir. As a Titan, Spartan, and human, I agree and appreciate your feedback! If you ever need a skilled Titan, any other class, or just a cool knowledgable cat to play with, I'm your man. Xbox 360 GT same as name. Much love and respect back to the OP.

BONESAW IS READY

All my friends have Alts, and always ask "Battery when are you going to start an alt?" The answer, never. I chose a titan because I knew they would be few and far between, and I knew that they would be misunderstood. What other class can buff his entire team, defend his entire team, or carry more ammo into battle!? Also at the end of this 10 year life cycle, I want all of my acheivments to be with one char, that would be awsome.

Edited by SaturnAscension: 11/5/2014 10:11:05 PMHey I'm a hunter. We hunters usually go lone wolf and don't play nice together. It gets lonely. No homo, but this got me emotional. Can I.... ..like ......get a hug from one of you guys?????? *sniff sniff* **group hug**

Love the thread topic name lol I made a Lock first and loved it immensely. However my second was a Titan. What did i do from the get go? DEFENDER SPEC! So much utility in strikes and raids. I noticed how much Titans really were the Pillars that held up a Raid Group, without their natural Team Chemistry we would have wiped many more times than before. Bravo Titans, Bravo

Does anyone else notice that at the same level, defense, and with a higher subclass armor rating that the titan seems like it takes more damage?
-
Disco bubble dance parties are the the best thing ever! I love doing it.
-
Showing some Titan Love. Hunters are almost always cockier than they are good. They always need a Titan in shining armor to lift them up. Or a nice WOD to hide in. TItans are a staple and have the most to offer to the team. Striker is great in PvP, but a great Defender can go a long way in every scenario.

Edited by Gman: 11/6/2014 4:08:27 PMI used to Hate Titans like you... Until I took a blade dancer to the knee

Made me smile
-
It nice to feel the love.
-
You will see the same thing in sports. The enforcer/brutes are more often the nicest players on the team. Ask any Hockey player that is a playmaker or goal scorer. They will tell you m.
-
I used to be a Titan like you... Then I took a Bladedancer to the knee
-
But did you take a Fist of havoc to the knee?
-
Dance parties in the bubble = all I needed to make Titans my class of choice.
-
until you took an arrow in the knee?
-
Thank you.
-
Titans be good peeps
-
i can feel the love (three lv 30 titans) p.s. only used a shotty in pvp when i was getting thorn, took 13 rds :)
-
You are one lucky son-uva-gun...... Most Titans I've come across have either been Dude-Bros or just arrogant jerks. They honestly feel like Call of Duty players all over again. Though there are nice players, and jerks all the same in each race/class.
-
Thanks! Although my Titan is lower lvl than my Hunter because...RNG...it was my first Guardian and is definitely my main.
-
Thanks for the love, man.... Titan is my favorite class by far!
