The Most Legit of them ALL?

With the talk and speculation on trading systems, exotic drops (or lack thereof ), players earning their loot, and Destiny in general being a game that rewards luck over skill... It dawned on me that Thorn is, all things considered, one of the most legit weapons in the game in terms of having to earn a weapon rather than getting lucky with the RNG. Thorn (to my knowledge) cannot be bought from Xur or dropped at random in any play mode. You have to do the due diligence with bounties to even have a shot at getting the Exotic Bounty (this is the only place in the process of getting Thorn where luck even factors in) and once you have the missive it takes 2 Strikes (one of which is epic-ly modified), some NPC killing and a challenging crucible run to finally get Dredgen Yor's hand cannon as your own. In my mind Thorn is one of the few weapons that is only obtainable by skilled players (the threshold of how skilled one has to be to obtain Thorn is debatable) and luck plays very little into that process. Basically if you see a Guardian with that thorny little monster strapped to their lower back or those black barbs zipping past you followed by that green energy trail you know that Guardian got it only one way. What do you guys think? Are you fans of the Exotic Bounty weapons process? Is there another non-drop weapon harder to get a hold of than our beloved Thorn?
