When I first starting playing Destiny, the obvious choice for me was out of a Warlock and a Hunter. I figured that people who liked Warlock were a sophisticated people. We were those who enjoyed asking questions, knowledge, mystery, art and enlightenment.
Hunters were people who liked adventure and discovery, stealth and challenge.
But Titan players? Titan players were clearly uneducated and uncouth. A people to avoid. They were those who always took the easy way out.
Afterall, why else would somebody pick a Titan and go into PvP with a Shotgun? Who else could enjoy running around the map punching people in the mouth, barging them and kneeing them mid air? Panic Fist of Havoc and dancing in their bubble on a flag then tea-bagging anyone who enters after certain death? These people must be the dregs of society.
Or so I thought...
Outside of PvP, the Titans are very useful! I am always in awe of the tools that they have to protect other guardians. Most of all in the Raid. I am actually dismayed if we have less than two Titans on the team.
But there is more to Titans than their part in the game. The people who pick Titans - the real life person - the players behind the Titans; are the nicest people that you can find!
I'm dead serious! I was just looking at my friend list and I came to realise that the people who have made the best conversation, been the most helpful, made me laugh the most, encouraged me when I have struggled; have all been Titan players.
Titan players are not only very useful in the game, but they are very intelligent people who know how to have fun and they are simply a joy to be around!
Take a moment to look at your own Destiny friends. Let's see if its just me or not. I have a feeling that it won't only be me who sees this. Titan players can troll you hard in PvP but they are really nice guys!
Beneath all of that argy-bargy bravado, beneath the heavy armour and testosterone lies a real heart of gold. Without Titan players, the community would be at a huge loss. They are to our credit and they are the needle that sews together the very fabric of our community.
They built the wall around the Last City. And I can assure you that when the Darkness returns, we will be in need of every Titan that we can find.
I used to hate Titans like you...
But now I have come to love them and they are my best friends. If you haven't got a Titan buddy yet, I implore you to find a few. You won't regret it!
Perhaps, just like the Unfriendly Giant, Titan players are simply misunderstood. Or perhaps a little shy (although more often than not a little overconfident).
But who could blame them? They make everything look easy, but they are really working hard to protect and look after us all.
Titans, you have my thanks and my respect. I celebrate you. I salute you.
And I really... really... REALLY... enjoy your Disco Bubble Dance Parties!
This, coming from a Warlock and Hunter player, and a Thorny Guardian.
See you all Starside.

I am the wall of light that darkness cannot break. I shall crush the darkness beneath my boot. Stand with me and I shall lead you forward....untill it comes to pvp time. When that time comes.... Only muffled shrieks of terror will be heard emitting from thine bubble. This is MY bubble there are many like it but this one....is MINE.

Finally. Some one gets get.

"He's the hero The Tower deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him in the PvP. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight."

But then I took an arrow to the knee
-
I picked the Titan class because it sounded and looked more like the Terminator
-
I love spawning millions of orbs as a Defender while I punch everything. Makes me happy inside
-
I basically picked Titan just because I'm used to playing the tank/support role in most of the MMO games I came from. I like to be effective in terms of being able to deal out my own damage, but also love helping out the team as much as possible. I love my defender because I can crap out tons of orbs for the other team which leads to more supers which leads to more death of the enemy and more orbs for me to eat so I can crap out more orbs of my own. Ran Omnigul the other night with a really good Warlock and Hunter, I think by the end screen we all had over 50 orbs a piece picked up and stuff was just dying left and right. It really is amazing when you have all 3 classes working together or really any class working together with a defender titan focused on orb generation. Defender is really a great class, my roommate has Saint-14 on his and parks his bubbles on the doors in some of the strikes so when the majors come rolling out they are instantly blinded and become cannon fodder for him and his teammates. I really want to pick up that helm so I can make the bubble even more versatile besides just providing more DPS.

Some hunters can become greedy, coveting flashy rewards. And warlocks are prone to be corrupted in their pursuit of knowledge and power. But what are the negatives to a titan? After all they are technically the main super-soldiers of the Traveler. I believe that titans are the least barbaric out of the three.
-
Makes sense. Titans have a sense of "Stand behind me!" Natural born tanks
-
We titans are the big brothers of every other class, if you punch them then be sure you'll have to run cause we will stomp you right in the ground.
-
To Be a titain is to be part of a brotherhood , of punching everything in the face till it stops moving
-
Was/still am a day 1 titan player, purely defender. My focus is always team support and being the rock of the squad. Down? Call me in! Need me to draw fire using my force barrier? I'm on it. Trap a horde of enemies inside the bubble of death to beat them silly? Count on me. Titans forever!
-
My Main class is Titan and I'm the guy who saves his super for when my friends are about Space dust I rush in to bash some heads and teach the darkness a lesson. Let it never forget the the guardians who forced its hand
-
Wow, well said
-
Warlocks use smarts to win a battle, hunters use stealth and Titans use brute force. That's why I like the titan.
-
*starts slow clap* We need more guardians like you
-
Great post man! From a Titan.
-
Titan has always been my guardian of choice, even back when the game first came out and I was still on the 360, I just never used the defender ability. Now, defender class is all I use, because it helps out fellow clan mates during raids/nightfalls.
-
Big bump! You are always welcome to my bubble and weapons of light sir! I'm the only titan on my raid team. 4 hunters 1 warlock 1 titan(me). We joke around about master classes and whatnot but the real master class is classy players like you! Stay awesome my friend!
