A couple of weeks ago, I bought my Dad a copy of the Orange Box. He was confused at the beginning of Portal, which was the first game he tried, but then, when he moved on to Hλlf Life 2, he seemed to grasp the situation perfectly. No questions asked. Tonight, we were clearing out his attic, and I saw one of his old media shelves. Now, I've seen many of these shelves, and they're always full of crappy country albums, but when I went to pick this one up, I saw it. A first edition copy of Hλlf Life. I was thinking that he had gone on eBay, in what I had assumed was masked confusion, and bought a copy to get answers. So I asked him, "How long have you had this?" To my surprise, he responded, "Since 1998." My jaw dropped. Long story short, I now have an original hard copy of Hλlf Life.
