Will the Destiny Universe Exist Cross-Platform
I know that the game will be on both Xbox as well as Play Station, but will the universe be persistent across the platforms?
If so, then i assume our accounts would work cross platform too, right?
And then therefore our persistent characters would exist as well?
What do you guys think?

I would love to see cross-platform implemented in Destiny. Unfortunately though, I don't think that will happen. At least not during the initial release.

I cant see a Microsoft/ Sony Cross platform but At the very least I cant see any reason why you wont be able to do PS3/PS4 or 360/X1 Cross over, it all runs on the same network.

2 RepliesIt has been alluded to that there will be cross platform play, it was in a recent interview, I can't recall which one exactly.

The current gen systems are water down ports. Aslo the current gen consoles will not be supported for the expexted 10years. The characters will be saved sever base and they probably wont carry over.

3 RepliesHopefully not, it means the Next gen versions would be limited by Current gen versions EVEN MORE than they already are. I'm thinking we'll have to wait till 'Destiny 2' to see the potential of this game as it won't be held back as much by current gen, plus I reckon they won't make space travel possible in the first game but then they'll listen to fan feedback and include it in the second game :)

Also remember $ony and M$ will want some new and different features on Next Gen versions (making them different) to give fans an incentive to buy the newer consoles otherwise lots of people wouldn't bother if it is only about graphics etc.
