Do you guys even think motion capture tech is entertaining enough to be bundled in with your console? The Xbox One has been reported to NOT function without its Kinect attachment. I for one don't have the space in my house to utilize it, and be comfortable playing my console. So put simply I, like many others cannot use it. That means according to Xbox One, I, again like many others will not be able to fully utilize the console they would like me to spend a couple hundred on. People bought kinect because it was something new, an add on for those it applied to, not because they HAD to have it. Only because it had potential and it was convenient for them. Apparently Microsoft or whoever was in charge of the decision feels it was such a success, that not only will you not give me an option to purchase it, but my console will be considerably incomplete without it! To me this sucks Caballs. What about you guys?

You can sit on your couch and use it. Let's not forget that PS4 is doing the same thing. Light bar....

Caballs is the most fantastic expression ever used.

I don't think the Kinect is bought separately from the Xbox One or at least I hope its not because I would hardly use it and don't want to buy it separately. Also, love the term "Caballs".

What if I have voice communication playing through my speakers because my super sweet headseat needs batteries and I want to play and still hear what people are saying and someone trolls me by saying "xbox off" or something...it happened during the reveal..not to me because I don't have a connect but there are articles on it..just seems this connect aspect is a bit of a liability so far. Not to mention how 1984 it feels having your console constantly watching you(hackers figuring out how to access the kinnect camera remotely maybe?) will the sell an xbox towel to put over the fudgin' thing?

The console comes with kinect, so you don't have to buy it separately. Also it is supposed to have a lot shorter minimum sensor distance, meaning you can play in smaller spaces.

The fact that I have my current Xbox set up in my very small bedroom makes me inclined to agree with you. If I tried to utilize Kinect to its full potential I would break more then just my ankles. I feel like Xbox One has a lot of potential, but Microsoft is really botching certain aspects.

Caballs!! I have two flatscreens in my house and I use the one in my room for my 360. If I'm going to get the X1 then I have no choice but to put it in my living room. Which I'm not going to do cause my family likes watching TV while I game. Plus my room isn't the size of a Warehouse which is approximately the amount of space needed for Kinect. +1 for Sony.

I just hope it doesn't have to be fully functional, just on. The space between my TV and bed is less than two feet lol, it will not work well with motion capture. I would enjoy the vocal functions though!
