Well there you go the 23 portion of Nora Sinclair's story, if either link fails let me know.
“Well he’s dead,” Alicia’s unimpressed voice was almost comical. “What about his friend?” Three bolts of plasma splashed against something just beyond our vision. “Oh, there he is.”
Another few seconds passed and Dread stepped in front of the windscreen to wave at us. “Hey where’d these holes come from?” he asked over the radio.
Alicia pressed a button on the console, “Nora had a chance to try out her new gun.”
“Ahhh, looks pretty powerful.”
“Check the damage while you’re out there.” Pavla stood up and turned to exit with her blank helmet affixed and her drum fed shotgun in hand.
“Yeah, yeah sure.” Dread waved his hand and walked up the windscreen. “We’ve got a problem.”
“Just what I wanted to hear,” I told Alicia and dropped back into my chair.
“What happened?”
“Main engine fell apart, looks like stress fractures; somebody had the throttles maxed for too long.”
“How long until we can get it fixed?” Pavla asked as a second pair of boots thudded across the roof.
“I’m not a mechanic, how should I know?”

Sorry. It's been a long time since I've read your story, Zest. I must say, this chapter brought a surprising element of action with it. I was entertained and curious from beginning to end. I think I will take a liking to Aaron quickly. Great chapter. I hope to catch up soon.
