He would always help other Guardians, yet he could not join a fireteam, because he wanted to start a fireteam himself. This Guardian's name was Mystic, he was a powerful Human Warlock. He would wander Earth looking for the best Guardians he could find to join his crusade. He wanted to explore other planets after he made a fireteam. Mystic arrived in the ruins of Chicago. There was a battered sign at this entrance to the ruins that said 'Welcome To The Best City On Earth'. He laughed, Chicago was nothing more than relics and abandoned buildings. He marched through the streets looking for a building that might hold supplies. All seemed to be clear, yet it was quiet. Too quiet. He had not heard a single sound since entering Chicago. He found a sign that said Hosp -> he knew what that meant. There was a hospital directly to his right. As he entered the derelict building the first thing he noticed was the smell, it smelled like rotting flesh and blood. He ran through hallways tracking the origin of the smell. He wondered what it could be. He turned the seventh corner and what he saw left him stunned. A Titan was facing a Fallen Captain alone, with his bear hands! The Titan would land 7 jabs and then use The Fist of Havok. The Titan's hands were raw with blood, yet he wouldn't give up. The Fallen Captain was shaken up and badly scarred yet giving the Titan a hard battle to win. The Fallen dual swords were on the ground shattered to bits, so the Fallen and this Titan were having a boxing match. Mystic pulled out his sword 'Stained With The Blood of Your Comrades' and charged the Fallen. The Fallen saw him and landed a blow to his stomach that rendered Mystic unable to fight. While the Fallen was distracted the Titan picked up a Mystic's sword and thrust it into the Captain's neck. Blood started spewing out from the neck of the Captain as he crumpled from lack of blood. The Titan grabbed his loot from the Fallen corpse. Upon closer inspection this Fallen was not a Captain, it had 6 arms and was black. The Titan helped Mystic stand up and start walking again. The Titan was a bloody battered mess, that looked like he had just been tortured. Mystic used a healing ability to patch the Titan and himself up. Mystic and the Titan stayed together wandering the halls of the hospital together getting to know each other. The Titan was known as Knight, a name from before the Golden Age that meant fearless warrior. Knight was the leader of his own fireteam, Fireteam Echo. Mystic asked where the other members of Knight's fireteam were, he was silent for what seemed like minutes. Then he said," we were headed to this hospital, rumor was a pair of black spiked gloves made from black diamond on a rogue Fallen Commander there. They were a mighty force to be reckoned with. That monstrous Fallen you saw back there was such Fallen Commander. My fireteam sacrificed themselves on the hope that we would find those exotic gloves." Knight then showed me the loot he got, spiked black gloves! Mystic stood in amazement as Knight put on the gloves. Knight butchered his hands in his attempt to kill that Fallen Commander, yet he stayed determined to kill the Fallen Commander even if it cost him every ounce of his blood. Mystic wondered if he would he ever that determined? Knight and Mystic decided they would team up. They went back to the city to rest before they went on their first mission together.
