Simple little script I whipped up. Topics which include tags you have added to your list of ignored tags will appear collapsed, just as muted topics are.
How to add a tag: Go to your settings, find the Muted Tags section, then type in a tag and press enter. You don't need to worry about upper/lower case or anything else.
Standard install instructions: Install the script via Greasemonkey or another script manager. I don't know if it works in Chrome since I haven't tested it, but it should be easy for someone else to port it.

Bungie, please make this available on the main site. Not all of us can run scripts. =(
-
When you mute a tag does it have the same effect as hiding a thread? That being minimize them.
-
You amaze me my good sir..
-
Something I thought of, I remember some people saying that they would like to be able to filter public threads that came from private groups. Would it be possible to add in a way to also be able to filter based on groups so that threads coming from a group would be hidden?
-
Why is this a script? This should be a feature of the site.
-
Cheeky idea. I like it.
-
Nice idea.

You have to hope people tag posts with Religion/Politics.
-
Why aren't you the site developer?
-
This is...actually pretty nice. Now if only people would tag their shitty religion threads.
-
Nice Daz! Now all I have to do is start editing threads with appropriate tags :)

Edited by Lurker: 5/9/2013 8:37:12 PMHere's a Chrome extension I created that does the same thing: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ignoretags/pllmbmklobcajddbgkmikokeakfabdge To edit ignored tags, go into the extension options (do not include the hash symbol when entering tags)

Nice to see some script from the community, good work.

Pretty sweet, thanks! :D
-
It's works, you're awesome man, thanks.
-
We should all ignore #swag.
-
Cool, can't wait for it to be ported to chrome.
-
I need this on chrome, it will help so much... and can you just make it to completely remove them from sight? the whole collapsed thing just wastes space on the forum...
-
Well, it now looks like I can/should follow through on my previous promise. https://www.bungie.net/en-us/Forum/Post?id=60382770&path=1 Thanks daz!
