I'm programming a Windows Phone app in C#, and would like to use the API, to get the user's characters, and emblems.
All I want to do is communicate with it, de-serialize the JSON object with "using Newtonsoft.Json;", and then display the data.
Does anyone know of any walkthroughs or sample code I could look at to get an idea of how to make this work?
Also what is the API key used for, and how would I implement it?

Edited by Inirit: 2/23/2015 11:00:13 PMIn regards to how the API key is used, read through this post, it should have all you need to know about it. As far as how to interact with the API, a lot of it is up to you on how you want to make the web requests and manage the responses. You could start by checking out the HttpWebRequest object and trying to craft a platform request with it, it's what I use to drive a lot of our automated testing infrastructure (I know nothing about Windows Phone development, though, so maybe there is a more specialized way to handle web requests).
