Share who your Guardian is, what they stand for, how they became a Guardian, Race, Class, Name, etc.
Although there are a lot of these posts, I would hope to hear the story's of my fellow Guardians, and help tide each other tide off until Destiny comes by spreading rich, and interesting lore. So come! And we can learn all about our different Guardians, and create a congregation of stories and tales.
My guardian:
Exo
Hunter
Male
Name: Lynx (Subject Lynx-238P, Story name)
Bio: After his design discovery by Haaken Corporation, he was placed under testing and manufacturing during the golden age. He was classified as "alien" technology, and was chipped off of the outer equator of the Traveller at 357".
The science team deployed by New Felix had also theorized that he was precursor technology, using methods of carbon dating.
Being that the only thing they found of him in the excavation was a core component, and scripted instructional designs, they placed Haaken in charge of manufacturing, and safeguarding.
He was completed two years after, and at the same time an unknown force had begun its rain of hell, ending the golden age, and sending humanity to darkness and dormancy. Many more years passed, and humanity arose from the ashes of destruction with the creation of The City, under the lifeless Traveller.
During this event, many pieces of the Traveller had crashed down upon the desecrated factory, causing an unexplainable surge of energy, which in turn closed the circuits, and rebooted Lynx.
After being rebooted , much of Lynx's internal memory was wiped. He stepped out of the machine pod, and outside into a strange new world that he had never seen before. Where was he? He pondered on and on, staring at the desecrated land and structures around him.
He glanced down on his fresh, clean body. It was a light gray color, accents of white. He felt the strange new material, he had never been used to it either...... But what happened to his creators? What was he doing? Why had he changed?
Lynx thought, and thought.... Be he could not comprehend his situation.
He gazed up at the sky, and with a roar a large craft hovered over him..... "What was that thing?" Lynx thought. The craft turned and a tiny projectile flew towards him, and he dodged out of the way. He felt tired, and cold, as another hit him in the back, and he fell over........
Lynx awoke at a crash site of the ship, he had been taken by the Fallen. He was discovered by a group of Guardians, who took him back to their outpost, and radioed to the City. A drop ship took Lynx inside the wall. The civilians called him "Exo," and Lynx did not understand anything of their culture. He never fit in, spending his days at the bar watching the strange "humans," until the day he became a Guardian.
Personality: Quiet, Very Intelligent, Curious, Kind, Reverent.
Skills: Agile, Nimble, Deadly, Intelligent, Dexterity.

Edited by Skya: 2/15/2014 3:38:45 PMKaede, the Broken Guardian Exo Male Hunter The guardian of this story is an Exo. A silent, fast, and deadly force made of metals, technologies similar to computers, and hardware scavenged from multiple wrecks of Earth's many enemies. This machine is quite unique, very odd, and always silent. Silence is actually an obsession for him, he's only said 12 words since the time of his creation, these words were "good bye" to 6 different people. This guardian is a broken one though, though he sounds like a guardian somebody would pay to have on their fireteam, nobody wants to even be near the machine. Civilians and guardians alike avoid the machine whenever he is near. The reason people seem to fear the hunter is because of the fact, that he hunts. He hunts his enemies like animals, and like an experienced hunter, he ALWAYS gets his quary. Now it's not really the fact that he hunts our enemies that make people fear him. What seems to make fear trickle into the hearts of those around him is his almost infamous history. He has been "reset" so to speak, about 3 times, reason being that he is not just a hunter, but a murderer. He has killed 3 of his fireteams and has since been a lone wolf. Now I know what your thinking, "why wasn't he just destroyed? He did murder 6 guardians after all". Reason he wasn't destroyed or deactivated was due to the way he was built, the technology, the tactics, the skills. This machine is was one of the strongest guardians to date, so they plugged him in and played through his memories before erasing them all and reprogramming him. The men who have worked on him says there is some glitch they can't fix, a type of virus, or malfunction. They discovered that it sends commands to the "brain", but the commands are a mystery, they could not figure out what the commands were. A logical guess was made, the command was what made him kill his allies after almost a year of being with them. The hunter eventually was told he could not return to the last safe city on Earth, that he would have to remain outside the city in the wild frontier until whatever enemy would be lucky enough to end him. Kaede, the broken hunter never even looked back at the city. He loved to hunt, and now he could whenever, where ever, forever. The men who worked on him and discovered the virus had placed a type of chip inside his head though, it would send them a message if the virus ever disappeared. After many years in the wild, the chip sent a message, and a guardian was sent to pick him up. The virus was gone. Kaede got placed in a fireteam and the fireteam doesn't have to worry about being hunted by him. Now he hunts the enemies of our planet along side his fireteam.

Done. I wrote it up quiet some time ago so some aspects are out of date.
Name: Aaron. Race: Exo. Gender: Male. Age: Unknown, appears to be in his mid to late thirties. Class: Titan. Overview: Aaron is best described as a noble protector, meaning that the lives of his comrades are placed foremost in his mind during combat. Physical description: He’s a red-eyed, fair-skinned man. His most outstanding feature is his height all eight and a half feet of it. His dark brown hair is kept combed back away from his face which appears to be cleanly shaven. The only indication that he is of the exo race is the occasional spark from behind his eyes. While his strength has never been truly tested it is often joked that if the chance should present itself Aaron could easily beat a Cabal in an arm wrestling match. Aesthetics: While not technically separate from his body Aaron’s armor is a composite of red, black, and grey. The first layer of armor (that is the layer closest to his actual body) is made from a black fibrous material which protects him from most melee weapons and low speed shrapnel. The second layer is a series of red plates that cover most of the black material (exceptions being his joints) which protects against most bullets and shrapnel. Some portions of the red armor sport additional grey plates for supplemental protection of vital areas (heart, lungs, etc.). He never wears a helmet or other head protection. Weapons of choice: LMGs, semi-automatic pistols, and his fists. Lifestyle: Being a natural explorer Aaron often finds the most joy in discovering and witnessing beauty in the world. When his sheer size is not enough to avoid a fight Aaron will rush in ahead of his companions to finish the confrontation as soon as he can. Personality: Silent, weary, and helpful are the three words best able to describe Aaron; he often grows tired with the world. Aaron’s silence often gets mistaken for stupidity or an inability to understand what he is being told this does not affect how he sees the world but does limit how many people share his view of the world. While his doses not speak much he has an extraordinary talent for knowing what a person means to say; an ability that served him well as a map maker. When fighting Aaron often moves with surprising speed given his size, but when he is not fighting or working towards a clearly defined goal he is sluggish and drags himself along. If a person were to encounter Aaron on the street they might describe him as carrying the world on his shoulders or fed up with the sad state the world has found itself in. For a person in trouble Aaron is a sight for sore eyes, more than willing to help if he can Aaron often finds himself assisting someone do something whether it be hunting down a group of dangerous beasts or walking an old woman across town. For this reason Aaron will be found next to a person requiring his aid, or with a small group of people following him on a good day. Talents: Being an exo unbelievable strength comes with the territory but Aaron is exceptionally strong. While his physical power is worthy of remark Aaron’s true prowess is his indescribably accurate memory and reasoning skills, in many battles Aaron has been able to predict his enemies’ actions perfectly. Weaknesses: Aaron’s lack of speech often leaves him in awkward situations outside of combat, which he then goes to remarkable lengths to get away. Knowing that he would most likely be on the losing side of a battle cannot stop Aaron from fighting it anyway if he finds the cause worthy. Likes: Painting, drawing, listening to the world, finding something of beauty hidden to the world, protecting his comrades, standing tall in the faces of enemies. Dislikes: Talking, giving directions, other people, hurting comrades or seeing them hurt, false displays of strength or skill, watching the beauty his searches for being destroyed, and witnessing the strong abuse the weak. Notable relationships: Alicia Sheol: A female warlock and Aaron’s best friend, it might have been her fault that Aaron became an exo but he couldn’t hold a grudge against the only person who would talk to him about more than maps or brawling. Motivations and goals: Short term: Protecting his companions and assisting them in their own goals. Long term: Finding vistas and objects of indescribable beauty and protecting them from those who would destroy them. Ancient history: Aaron had a pretty standard childhood, nothing worthy of mentioning, aside from his reluctance to speak which often got him picked on of laughed at. When he first learned of maps and their purpose he was entranced by the pieces of paper or images on the computer’s screen; he began to create his own maps from memory, highly detailed nearly perfect maps, before graduating his elementary school. As he aged he found that his height (which was roughly six foot three inches when he left high school) and silence tended to make others feel off balance around him, not something he was eager to correct, but this enabled him to focus on creating maps from stories he overheard. When his abilities were discovered by a professional map maker he was taken on as an apprentice and honed his natural skills. Having never been truly close to his family Aaron shocked when he received news of their deaths, by natural causes, from an Awoken warlock that had visited them when she was walking through his hometown; despite being saddened by their loss he only took enough time to visit the graves and went back to his maps. After the master map maker had taught Aaron everything he could he set Aaron up with his own business and would often refer the more vague clients his way; these men and women would soon hold the most detailed maps they had ever seen. The courier whose name was Alicia Sheol became his best friend, and he became hers, much to his surprise was interested in his maps; after having Aaron recreate accurate maps from the little information she could provide, Alicia gave him the nickname “Silent Cartographer” which soon became his professional moniker. As he made more and more maps from the stories of adventurers Aaron became fascinated by the beauty he often heard of but never experienced, so he vowed that one day he would make a map to the most beautiful sights in the world but accepted that he might never get the chance. With the passing of the map maker Aaron had learned from he fell into a slump and in an effort to lift his spirits Alicia brought him a piece of a Vex machine. While Aaron examined the remains he accidentally reactivated it and was fatally injured; it was only through some extreme luck that Aaron was saved, by replacing most of his body with metal and other artificial materials. When he awoke Aaron was reminded of just how fragile life was and closed his business down to make his own pathways through the world; Alicia offered her help in order to repay her hand in his current predicament, initially he refused but accepted after realizing he knew nearly nothing about the world outside. Recent developments: Recently Aaron has found himself in the company of an ex-sniper of a hunter named Roberts though the man insists on being called “Captain Roberts” (his former military rank). After the man saved Aaron from a pair of shield wielding Cabal he followed the titan and saved Alicia from an unseen attacker, which solidified him as the third member of the odd team. While he does not truly understand what Aaron is, where Alicia is from or why either of them are trying to map out a wasteland, Roberts figured that having an eight and a half foot friend seemed like a good idea: Aaron believed that having someone for Alicia to speak with would be a better idea and did not object to the hunter’s company. How does Aaron react when… He finds a powerful weapon? A wicked smile crosses his face. He finds money? Pockets it and then gives it away to someone who needs it. He finds something to eat? Sniffs it and then decides whether to eat it, pocket it, or throw it away. He finds a trap? Steps and around it and points it out to his companions. He finds something suspicious? Looks around and shrugs before inspecting it further. He finds a corpse? Bows his head in respect before closing the corpse’s eyes and continuing on.
