As good as it sounds, that feature is going to be exploited for trolling beyond belief.
Rather, what if we should share our own stories in logs for others to read somehow throughout Destiny? Making our mark on a certain territory to let others know that we have traveled to the far depths of a certain planet, conquering all obstacles leading up that point. Is that the story you want to tell alongside with Destiny's main plot?
Vaguely interesting. I think to some extent, though, the stories we tell in Destiny will be among our friends and the people we bump into, and not procedurally generated, ad-libbed "radiant" content that the game, rather than we as players, created. Pic related. I think the stories will be subjective, you had to be/should have been there sorts of moments. I think that's more in line with what Staten's referring to in that video, letting the world support those moments, letting players screw the scripted/expected outcome.

Like audio and text logs people can find in certain areas?

If we're really crafting our 'own story' to become legend, I think it's safe to say we'll have some sort of adventure log. Being able to share this would be neat.

I would like that, just give me some characters that I am interested in, because I didn't really care much for Sadie.

This could be pretty cool, especially if the world is massive, instead of a series of linear levels. If we have an area to explore the size of Skyrim then leaving messages in places we discover for other players could be really cool.

I don't think it would work. They would not be able to effectively "regulate" the things people would say in them. They would also lose thier appeal after everyone and thier mum leaves one nearly all over the place.

What comes next? Thread #7 on August 7th? I wonder....
