Is VoG still worth it?

Hello! Great to be back with the clan after a long break. I'm motoring through the new content and am up to 230. But all my gear it pretty crap. So my question is... Is it worth running VoG and Crota for loot? Or do you only get year 1 stuff? Kaythanksbye
