The PS4 Blue Light Problem is indicated by a continual, pulsing blue light on the console body. The specific cause of this error is currently unclear, although Sony has acknowledged in a troubleshooting guide that the problems could lie with TV compatibility, issues with the PS4 power supply, issues with the PS4 hard drive, or issues with other PS4 hardware. Suggested Solutions If your PS4 isn't outputting video and you're seeing a blue light, first check input settings and cables, as the blue pulse error has some similarities with another reported and fixable PS4 hardware issue. It is also possible that this problem may be caused by a misshapen metal connector on the PS4 HDMI port. Gently widening the breach with a tool to fully admit the HDMI connector may correct the issue. You should only attempt this at your own risk, as this procedure may void your warranty. Other recommended steps from Sony include turning off your PlayStation 4 completely and holding the power button for at least seven seconds (until the system beeps twice), disconnecting your PS4's AC power cord, and checking your PlayStation 4 for visibly damaged parts. If you have thoroughly checked your TV inputs, cables, etc., you should contact Sony support.
