I'm saving engrams just in case but what I'm also doing is levelling all factions to within a bounty of the next level. Way I look at it, those engrams aren't generated yet so can't be pre determined. I'm doing this on all three characters and will pass the engrams to my main to open. You obviously have to be a min of rank 2 as I think your first package drops on rank 3.

On heck of a racer! - old
Opinion seems to be its a waste of time. I also asked Datto who confirmed it. Mass opening of packages on the cards.... -
I done it before Dark Below. To be honest I don't think it made any difference.

i'll just do what i did with dark below and cane the shit out it and the new raid lol

My understanding from forums is that the only ones worth saving are the cryptarch reward packags as there is a chance for the leg engram to be generated upon opening and that will therefore be a 'new' dlc one. The others seem to come from a prexisting loot table. I'm gonna save up a whole bunch of reward packages anyway(public events) for the xp boost to level HOW gear quickly, and the cryptarch ones to try it unless that doesn't work? But knowing Bungie dlc policy, they'll stop that from working anyway and this post will become total crap ><. Good idea to just have each faction hovering near lev rank completion and full set of bounties saved up to hand in I guess.

Same as Gav, tried and it didn't work so not bothering, best to get lots ready to level up for update.

it was tried on this dlc and didn't work so i'm not bothering on how

Any reports of this working when The Dark Below came online?

Probably a good idea, gonna try that as well :-)
