Edited by FiveNines: 3/10/2015 7:52:08 AMSony 2.0 here, only issue is the Bluetooth dongle taking up a usb slot meaning I have to manage charging, either joypad or headset but not both. Gear wise, very nice, and has that sound set up specifically for destiny written by Bungie.

I am using Turtle Beach PX4s. No wire to the console, but there is a wire to the controller. That configuration is a bit weird, but not a problem. At least there aren't any wires to trip over. The sound quality and comfort levels are good, but the mic volume control doesn't seem to do much. Overall I am pretty pleased with them.

Edited by Prisoner of Life: 3/9/2015 7:30:01 PMI got a Skullcandy SLYR, Gaming Headset. I like it. :) The reason I got it is that it was one of the few I could find that had a cable longer than 3 meters... It's 5 meters long. It's compatible with PC, Xbox360, Xbox One, Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 it says. (Had a extra sticker on it for Xbox One and PS4 when I got it, so if you see the box without that it's likely still the same thing.) It's as mentioned a wired headset. At the wire you have this cool thing also that you can use to raise or lower the sound with. You can also adjust the sound for how much you are to hear the sounds from the game, and how much you will hear the chat. (I always get it up at full for the chat.) You also can switch between three settings, one for "normal" sound, one for more bass, and one that you are supposed to use for PvP and stuff that makes footsteps and such sounds easier to hear. Quick and easy to switch. It looks like there would be very little room for the ears in it, but personally I have never had any problem with this, I think it's easier to fit the ears in them than it appears... Still if you got huge ears it may be a issue, but I don't know. Easy to conceal microphone also. There, as usual I wrote far too much text, but that's that about my headset... lol. Atleast there is another headset mentioned aswell now, not the one so many others mention only... lol.

I borrow my son's Sony 2.0s from time to time, no problem with interference and a lot better than my crappy wired set!
-
Only problem I have with the Sony golds is that I can't hear anything else going on around me which can sometimes cause problems with the wife and kids - perfect for use when they've all gone to bed though!! They also make you appreciate how good the sound design is in the game, especially with the special app settings.

Sony golds all day... If you need to hear what's going on around you, switch to mic priority, this lowers the game sound but retains voice volume.

Edited by CL3RICx2: 3/8/2015 12:33:11 PMJust unboxed the headset to try it one more time (you guys got me doubting myself lol). Isolated (turned off):- Sky router TV + Hd box Soundbar 2 mobile Phones Son's ps3 Baby monitors Only things I left on were ps4 and headset... Still humming. I'm gonna try it at my friends house for the last chance saloon. I'm gutted really cause I really do love this headset (Maybe I got a static head!!!! 😜)

these sony ones were the ones I recommended to you, as you can see they have the approval of many in the clan. However, your wireless issue is the concern. Know anyone who has them so you can try them out?

Sony 2.0. Did loads of research, I enjoy that bit more than buying and using. Usually takes me 12 months of research to select my new car. Really pleased with mine.

Another happy Sony 2.0 customer reporting in!

Its starting to look very one sided 😉

Sony wireless headset 2.0... Amazing headset!

I've also been using the Sony 2.0 and love them, never had any problems, they even have a setting just for Destiny.

Just purchased the Sony headset 2.0 today. Superb sound quality for game & seems pretty functional for communication, will reserve judgement till I've done a couple of raids with it before final verdict, but so far so good.
