Guide to being a good Warlock: 1. Get to level 15 2. Become a Sunsinger and max it out 3. Use afterlife for radiance 4. Buy Heart of the praxic fire You're set

I actually thought of writing something like this yesterday when I responded to a "How do I get stuff? I'm stuck at level XX" post. This is what I wrote, any changes fellow guardians? 1. Grind the highest strike playlist you can. At lv23 you should be able to do Tiger strikes. If you have the DLC then move onto ROC strikes once you hit lv25. I can't remember the drop rates for Tiger strikes but on ROC I average 2-3 blues per strike and each strike takes roughly 8-15 minutes. 2. Keep swapping out your blue armor whenever you find some with a higher light level. Blue armor alone will get you to lv26 if you have the DLC, lv24 if you don't. Don't worry about perks, all that matters is getting your level up for now. If you find some with perks that suit your weapons etc then it's a bonus. 3. Do public events at least once a day, as well as the daily mission. They will provide credits, coins, and materials for when you start getting legendary gear and for Xur. 4. Buy an exotic piece of armor from Xur, as well as an exotic weapon. At this early stage it doesn't really matter what they are (chest/boots/gloves or primary/secondary/heavy) you just need to get your stats up. Armour is 13 Strange Coins, weapon 17 Strange Coins, or an exotic armor engram (RANDOM CLASS, might not be for your guardian) for 23 Motes of Light. 5. Do as many bounties as possible. If you are wearing an item from a faction (Dead Orbit etc) then your experience is applied to this vendor. You need your vendor level to be 2 to buy gloves/boots, level 3 for helmet/chest/weapons. Crucible marks are used for all vendors other than the Vanguard, and crucible marks can only be earned in the crucible (PvP). 6. Do the highest level weekly strike you can do. If you can jump in with a higher level guardian you will get better rewards. If everyone dies in a weekly/nightfall strike then you are returned to orbit. There is also no re-spawn, only revive. Get into Nighfalls once your able to as well. 7. You can access the Vault of Glass at lv23 (I think) but I wouldn't recommend it until you hit lv27 at least. Ideally you want one if not two maxed legendary weapons - especially in your primary slot. Once you get these, run the VoG every week for more rewards/materials. I'm sure there is more but these are main points. Good luck guardian.

Didn't know about the heavy ammo thing I'll keep that in mind for the crucible and this group sounds like the one I want to join
-
bump and for the love of god find out where the heavy ammo spawns in crucible (its in the same 2 spots every time) and get there when it calls "heavy ammo inbound", it will help you to have it and if you stumble upon it by yourself heed the advice above. I don't know how many times I see teammates just run past while I'm waiting for them to pick up heavy as well as seeing someone grab it by themselves when I'm right there just out of reach.... so frustrating please don't do this unless necessary situation requires you to pull heavy with out waiting ( at a minimum one other player should be around to grab it with you. Good luck

Rules for a new Hunter #1. You are a lonewolf. Titans and Warlocks do not understand you, and they never will. #2. You are made to achieve Max DPS from range. Get good with a scout rifle, and if you get a sniper rifle called "Ice Breaker" you are set for life. #3. Your supers (Golden Gun or Bladedancer) are made to clear out entire teams with the right perks. You will see people call for them to be nurfed. Those people are jealous of our abilities. #4. Invisibility is your friend use it. #5. Don't wear lucky raspberry. .. it's ugly. #6. Throwing knives. Throwing knives. Throwing Knives. With the right perks and skill you can run entire missions with just that knife. #7. Have fun and don't listen to all the haters.

Wanna play as a hunter ? heed the following: 1) hunters were created with maximum dps in mind, try to keep you're enemies at a distance and take them out before they can even hit you 2) the best defense is a good offense. 3) learn to judge how much damage you can put out before dying. This learning process wil take lots of dying. 4) know your enemies! know how they act and how they attack. For example, the fastest way to take out a cabal phalanx is with a shotgun, stand close to them and wait for them to attack you, when they come in to strike, there will be a small window for you to shoot them right in the face and end them in one hit. 5) no pain no gain 6) Hunters are agile, use it to your advantage, triple jump is a very solid choice 7) invisibility is very useful in harder parts of the game were there is no time pressure, such as in nightfall strikes 8) while using blade dancer, don't be shy, while you are squishy, you can wipe out vast groups of enemies very quickly, showstopper is a very useful perk when you're in the thick of it. 9) don't use blade dancer on bosses! trust me on this one, just don't. 10) learn to use handcannons, when you can chain head shots with a hand cannon, there is no weapon that can come close in dps. 11) shields - ennemies will have shields (coloured bubbles) around them. use the correct element type on your weapons to take out these shields as fast as possible. Red shields mean fire damage, blue shields arc damage and purple shields void damage. 12) before you attempt the VOG, get to level 27, and watch at least 1hours worth of guides. 13) before you attempt CE, get to level 30-31 and watch at least 1 hours worth of guides 14) get a mic

Don't get too attached to picking your gear for 5 second grenades or anything, because after level 20 you basically don't get to choose anymore. I miss when my Bladedancer could spam Arc Bolt like a Sith Lord because I just picked all the highest discipline gear.

7 made me smile

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha #2 lol. That ps4 mic is hot gabbage, if you got a ps4 definitely throw that mic out. Don't even stick it in your ear... I got a pair of turtle beach stealth 530s until I could afford some Astros. The 530s aren't horrid for turtle beachs lol.

If you see anything about a raid...IGNORE UNTIL YOURE 26 OR HIGHER. A level 23 can't do the raid. don't ask why, you just can't.
