In 5 years time, do you think it'll be like a used Miata to the driving community who doesn't want a roadster? Everyone criticizes them now, but I think in about 5-10 years it'll be the premiere cheap RWD "sports" car that'll be cheap to own.
Your thoughts?
I hear people mumbling that there will be a crazy rice tax on this car going forward, but I am seeing them sell slightly used below 20K. I personally wouldn't own either right out of the box, but the closer they get to the 10-15K mark the better value I think they are.
I like the Miata in concept, but have a pathological hatred for convertibles so this might be a fun little DD for me in the future.
I don't equate this to a Miata. That is in a different niche. This is more your generation's Eagle Talon as far as how it is set up marketing wise. But in the future, who knows. I personally see no special appeal in this car. I did the Talon. But overall, this is just yet another economy/sport coupe.

I wouldn't get one due to lack of power from its 4 cylinder but they're nice.

I'm actually thinking of getting a 2014 10 series special edition scion tC for $14.5k. It's got 5500 miles on it and my body is ready.

Brother has one, their great, but not enough to go up in price. Really fun car though

I think they'll be great bargains in 5 years or so. Buy one for around 15k, slap a turbo or supercharger on it, and have a light RWD car with a decent power. If I had to choose I'd take the FR-S but change the badges to GT-86 badges.
