Halo 3 ODST just came in the mail

Yep, I just now got around to this, four years late. Played the first three levels, and my god does Bungie pull some dick moves, especially since I'm sans motion tracker. In the first level I'm just strolling along in that hotel or whatever it is, minding my business, when all of a sudden BAM JACKAL SNIPER THINK FAST. Asshole. I killed him anyway. Next up I'm moseying my way through that daytime city level, before I know it I'm in the middle of a brute squad with no clue how I got there. That's bad enough, but then I get smacked in the back of the head, I turn around expecting another brute, but nope, it's a pair of hunters giving me the stink eye. And I have a carbine and plasma pistol. Wonderful. Took me thirty minutes of being on the wrong end of a game of whack-a-mole with the brutes and those hunters before I finally found the shotgun. May I mention that the hunters followed me all over the city area like I was heroin and they were Artie Lange? Including inside the goddamn buildings? How is little ol' ODST me supposed to deal with that? Last but not least, surprise camo brutes lobbing fire grenades in a dark city street. That's just not nice. They totally nerfed the shotgun and mauler. Those weapons were not this pathetic in Halo 3, were they? Also, what the fu­ck is with that grenade arc. Am I throwing the grenade or punting it? Just thought I'd share.
