This was found when modders were playing with gametype options. So it was considered and left in the games code. It's amazing what modders can find.
In case you don't get it:
There's a perk/deathstreak in CoD 4 and MW2 called Martyrdom. Every time you died a grenade would fall from your body and go off. Modders found a similar feature in the coding of Halo 4.

If they can do this: https://forums.halowaypoint.com/yaf_postst208559_Indestructible-fast-Mantis-and-1-shot-kills.aspx I'm sure they could easily mod this in and claim 343 were going to have it, I'll need more evidence

Edited by Lord of Admirals: 4/24/2013 2:52:19 AMYes, let's judge a company based on a bad idea they removed from the game before launch. Pfft. Everyone seems to forget they tested Halo out with ADS.

i really want to post this on the halo 4 forums...just to see what people say.

Have martyrdom just incase that sticky didn't work for you. Multiplayer games have really gone down hill.

Is it sad that I am not surprised?

It seems each day the notion that they didn't copy CoD becomes further and further from the truth.

LOL Imagine how PISSED everyone would be if that existed.

Honestly, this seems better considering the amount of grenades people throw around normally or the ones that go flying out of their dead bodies. At least it would miss more since I have no reason to be near a dead body. No ammo for me to pick up, no grenades to pick up, and not enough time to be a necrophile.

More proof.

People still play Halo?

There was nothing more annoying in CoD 4 than Martyrdom. Just seeing this gif makes me a little rustled.

Dat upstanding Carbine.

I assume you mean the OP beam rifle. Ya I know, what were they thinking. In the next update they said they were considering modifying its aim assist and bullet magnetism.

I don't get it.
